Episodes 1-10:

The year is 2010. Gallen is sitting in some sort of metro transit recalling his past 20 years of life. Now, the year is 1990. Gallen is chased by loan sharks and ends up on the roof of a building. He starts throwing clothes off the roof of the building causing a big commotion, and the loan sharks leave him. However, he decides to jump off of the building. Sunny and Roger rush to the scene. Reporters are everywhere taking pictures. Roger, as gullible as he is, believes Gallen will commit suicide, but Sunny doesn't. Gallen only wanted to make it on the headlines of the newspaper as a way of promoting his new toy invention, the Tamaguchi.

Sunny, Roger, and Gallen are very good friends. They met during their early years of school. Sunny has now become an architect and Gallen has his own company. Roger is a manger at a bank. Gallen and Sunny are both on their school's committee for the restructuring of their old school. Gallen takes out $50,000 to help the school.

Gallen's company is in serious debt. Sunny's sister's boyfriend, who works for Gallen, cheated his company's money. Gallen was hoping that his new toy invention would get his company out of debt. Therefore, he uses the $400,000 that was meant for the restructing of the school. Roger discovers that Gallen had cheated the school's money and tells him not too. However, Gallen tells him that he needs to use it for a short period of time and will return the money, but when Sunny finds out he hits Gallen and tells him to return the money or else he will tell the other committee members. Sunny finally gives in and gives him a couple of days to settle the money before he will disclose to the other committee members.

Gallen cheats Kenix's mother by selling bad products to her. Kenix comes looking for Gallen demanding money back from Gallen. He will not return the money. While leaving Gallen's company, she accidentally drops her purse. Roger discovers her purse and returns the purse to her. He discovers that Kenix's mother has cancer and is in great need of money.

Something has gone wrong with the building his new toy invention, the Tamaguchi. Gallen rushes to the plant in China. Meanwhile, back in Hong Kong the committee members have discovered that Gallen had taken the money. Sunny is trying to cover up for Gallen, but to no avail. In the end, Sunny tells the committee members to give Gallen 2-3 days and if he is unable to turn up with the money, he will call the police.

Roger tells Kenix about a chinese medicine doctor that had cured Gallen's mother of cancer years ago. Kenix rushes to China to find Gallen, so that she can get the address of the doctor. Gallen tells her that he is unable to help her, but Kenix keeps on following Gallen around. One day while, he is in the plant monitoring the workers for entire day, Kenix stands outside at night in the cold waiting for him. The next day, when Gallen walks out of the plant he sees Kenix slouched in the corner sleeping. After seeing Kenix's great determination, Gallen helps her to search for the Chinese medicine doctor. In the end, they found out that the doctor himself had died of cancer a couple of years ago. However, she still has hopes that her mother will eventually recover.

After coming back from China, Kenix loses her job and was hired by Gallen after Roger's persistence.

Gallen was very disappointed that no one was interested in his new toy invention, the Tamaguchi. In the end, a Japanese business man accompanied by Flora (who is a lawyer in the series) wanted to buy the copyright of the toy. Gallen was reluctant to at first, but in the end he had no choice but to sell the copyright so that he could replace the money he took from the school committee. He sold the copyright for $600,000 and Flora was the attorney that settled their contract. After the purchase of the copyright, the Japanese business man, shipped all the Tamaguchi 's to a field and had all the Tamaguchis crushed. (Later in the series, you will see that both Kenix and Flora had each saved one. ).

Maggie works for an advertising company. She (who is Sunny's girlfriend at the present) helps Sunny get a job at Chun Pui's company (Ming Tai) working under Nicky. Apparently, Nicky and Maggie met while working on a number of projects together and have become business friends. Nicky is Chun Pui's third son.

Joe Ma (who's Gallen's cousin) is determined to buy the entire building Gallen's living. In order to get Gallen's family to sell their apartment, he uses different tactics to get them to sell. He once covered the outside of their entire building with an advertisement. Despite Joe's tactics, Gallen will not sell. Apparently, Chun Pui's company, Ming Dai, wants to buy this building for the redevelopment of the area there.

Gallen hires Flora to help with the situation, but Flora tells him that there's nothing that they can do at the moment. Gallen is very angry at what has happened. Therefore, he comes up with a plan to cut his building's water supply and light source and accuses his uncle for such deeds. Sunny approaches Gallen's dad and wants him to convince Gallen to sell their apartment telling him that is it for the better.

Flora's mom, Lisa comes out for the first time. We see her as a career women who has helped her husband, Kwok Fung, through the difficult times in the business world. Kwok Fung is a playboy.

Gallen's dad, Chow Chong, goes to find Chun Pui. He's willing to sell their apartment to him. An argument about their past erupts and Gallen walks in then saying he will not sell. Gallen's dad slaps Gallen across the face and tells him to apologize to his uncle.

Gallen's company declares bankruptcy.

Nicky and Maggie once again have made it on the front cover of the magazine. News has emerged that they are now business partners of an advertising company "Joe and Tina".

Gallen has started his new job as real estate agent. Through numerous attempts, he still has not been able to sell a single house. Gallen's dad, Chow Chong, goes and has a talk with Sunny. He wants Sunny to persuade Gallen to start from the bottom up, telling Sunny that Gallen will get no where at his current job not knowing the basics facts of how a building is constructed. After Sunny's conversation with Gallen, he quits his job as a real estate agent and finds a job at a construction site. Kenix, whose now working at Roger's parent's restaurant, cooks food for Gallen and brings it to him. Gallen befriends his new co-workers at the construction site by asking Kenix to cook food for them. His new co-workers have mistaken Kenix as Gallen's wife and starts calling her "Ah So".

Kenix is quite embarrassed by all this.

Kenix sees Gallen call a prostitute.

Roger finally finds the courage to tell Kenix that he likes her. However, she rejects him. Then Kenix asks Roger "do all men call prostitutes?" Roger says "No".

Roger flies to Taiwan with the winning raffle tickets, which Kenix had helped win. He had planned on going to Taiwan with Kenix, but after her rejection he flies alone. Gallen asks Roger to give Ada (who is Gallen's past girlfriend) some chinese medication. Roger finds Ada at a disco, where she is dancing on stage.

Ada invites Roger to her apartment and tells him how she met Gallen 3 years ago in Macau. Apparenly, she met Gallen at a massage place. After leaving the place that night, Gallen saves Ada from being raped. They have a one night stand and both decide to leave for Taiwan. 3 years ago, Gallen left Ada in Taiwan because of his business. The next day, Ada acts as a tour guide and shows Roger some famous attractions in Taiwan.

Ada asks Roger to bring back a cassette for Gallen. After seeing her pictures and listening to her tape, he feels guilty that he left her behind.

Gallen visits a complex that is half built.

Gallen and Roger pay a visit to the old lady who is his client and the owner of the half-built building. Gallen urges Roger to persuade the old lady to let them finish the construction of the half-built building, but his only requirement was that the old lady would have to give up half her ownership of the building. The elderly lady finally accepts the agreement.

Nicky and Maggie hold a ceremony party for their company. At the party, a man walks up to Roger and starts speaking French to him. Kenix comes to Roger's rescue and responds in French. (The reaction on Roger's face is so funny.) Flora overhears their conversation and offers Kenix a position at the law firm where she is working at currently. Kenix gets the job.

Kwok Fung (Flora's dad) is involved in another scandal with a women.

Hawick Lau (Gallen's brother) does not want to continue with his education, but wants to become an athletic runner. Like always, Gallen disapproves of his decision. However, after having a conversation, with Chow Chong (his dad), he comes to accept his brother's decision.

Gallen starts a new company.

Lisa Wong (Flora's mom in the series) finally files for divorce from Kwok Fung (Flora's dad in the series) after finding out that Lam Kei Yan (who plays her best friend in the series) cheats behind her back. Lam Kei Yan apparently has been sleeping around with her husband.

Chun Pui offers Lisa Wong a place to stay. Apparently, the two were a couple before they were married.

Flora follows her mom's lead and also moves out of her dad's place.

Both Kenix and Sunny resign from their jobs. The company was not satisfied with the project that Sunny completed. They both decide to help Gallen's Company. At one point, Kenix takes out her own money to buy materials when the company was short of cash and goes as far as bargaining for better deals. The current construction workers left the company. Gallen finds his old co-workers and asks them for help. In addition, Gallen hires some illegal refugee workers. Sunny and Roger also take out some of their savings to help the company.

Flora is very depressed over her parent's divorce. Nicky goes and consoles her.

Chun Pui is finally able to give Lisa Wong the antique watch he brought 20 years ago. He had intended to give the watch to her 20 years ago, but the opportunity never came until now. Their relationship started to develop. Realizing that her mom is dating Chun Pui, Flora is troubled, but Nicky takes it lightly. Flora gets angry at Nicky for his towards this issue.

Maggie attends a ball with Nicky and pictures of them appear in the newspapers the next day. Reporters have written that Maggie once again has used her tactics to win the heart of a rich man. When Sunny reads the news in the papers about Tina, he gets angry with her.

Gallen has no money to pay his workers, so he calls the police to arrest the illegal refugee workers. Once again Sunny and Gallen get into an argument. He lectures Gallen. The air-conditioners that are to be installed in each apartment have been stolen. Gallen deduces the thief. Therefore, he and Kenix were able to locate where the air-conditioners are. In the process of taking the air-conditioners back, he knocks the guy down. Gallen runs to Macau to get help in settling this matter. Instead the guy from Macau betrays him and Gallen runs to the old place where he and Ada had stayed 3 years ago. Kenix is worried about Gallen and goes to Macau to meet him. One night while Gallen is drunk, she takes care of him and steals a kiss from him. Their matter was quickly settled when the heads of the 2 mafia got into a fight leaving one killed and the other arrested.

Florence makes her first appearance in the series. She plays Flora's best friend from England. Lisa Wong and Chun Pui got married while they were on a trip. Flora is happy for her mom.

Gallen's company completes the apartment complex and all the apartments were sold. Flora buys one of the apartments from Gallen.

Sunny and Maggie's relationship start to turn for the worse. Sunny and Kenix attend a charity ball hosted by Maggie and Nicky's company, but they both appear unhappy.

Gallen's company purchases a critical piece of land that Chun Pui's company desires. Gallen offers to donate the land to a buddist temple. The temple was going to use this piece of land to create a cemetery. If this were to happen, it would dramatically lower the prices of the surrounding properties. Apparently, all the surrounding properties belonged to Chun Pui's company.

Chun Pui gives Lisa 18% of his company while each of his sons only had 5% of the company. Chun Pui's 2 oldest sons are jealous and do not seem to like Lisa.

Joe Ma (Chun Pui's oldest son) settles to buy the piece of land from Gallen that was going to be donated to the temple for 10 times the amount Gallen had purchased it for. Gallen, Sunny, Roger, and Kenix along with some family members celebrate their great purchase at a restaurant that night. Kenix had to go back to the office to pick up some documents she forgot. At the office, she sees a thief searching for valuables. Gallen walks in a little later and sees the thief. He starts chasing after him. During their struggle, a box drops out the window. Kenix runs down the alley to retrieve the box. Apparently, the TAMAGUCHI (one of Gallen's early invention) was in the box. Gallen sees that Kenix was very concerned over the Tamaguchi. He was touched by what Kenix had done. The 2 start going out after this incident.

Gallen's company expands and they move into a bigger building.

Roger tries to persuade Kenix to continue living at his apartment, but Kenix has already made her decision to move in with Flora and Florence.

Gallen tells Kenix to attend a land auction alone. At the auction, he calls Kenix and tells her to purchase a piece of land.

Kenix was angry at herself for treating Sunny like that. However, Sunny was very nice about the situation and told her that he understood how she felt, making Kenix feel even more guilty.

Chun Pui and his eldest son, Joe Ma, were playing golf with a friend who owns a bank. He revealed to them that one of Nicky's checks would have bounced had he not intervened. Chun Pui and Joe thought that Maggie was to blame. Maggie's mom heard rumors from her mahjong friends that Maggie and Nicky's company 'Joe & Tina' would need to relocate after the year's lease was up. Maggie was worried so she went to find the owner of the building, Joe Ma's wife. Joe's wife was extremely rude to Maggie and in not-so-many words, she told Maggie to stop "using" Nicky. Maggie returned to work and in her frustration, she asked Nicky if he could become more serious with his job.

Nicky found out that Maggie still likes Sunny. Sunny accompanied Kwok Fung to the pool hall and they ran into Nicky. Nicky was in a really bad mood because he just had a falling through with Maggie. He challenged Kwok Fung to a game of pool, which Sunny ended up finishing in Kwok Fung's place. Sunny was very good at pool and was up to the black ball when Nicky reached out and grabbed the ball...he told Sunny that he wouldn't let him win. He told Sunny that he didn't know what Maggie saw in him. They almost got into a fight when Gallen arrived and broke up the two. The situation put Sunny in a bad mood so he decided to leave. He bumped into Nicky in the parking garage when Nicky almost ran into him. Nicky insulted Sunny again and the two got into a fight in the parking garage (I personally thought this part of the series seemed a bit odd because Nicky's character in the series thus far has been a really nice, fun-loving kind of guy. It was either his way of portraying how strong his love for Maggie was, or Nicky overdid the acting a bit here...) When Nicky got home, his dad lectured him. Nicky's eldest brother, Joe Ma, was angry because Nicky had 'shamed the family name'.

Sunny and Gallen devised a plan to pull another architect into Kwok Fung's scheme because they needed information from another district. The architect was a compulsive gambler so the task was fairly easy.

Sunny got beaten up by a bunch of men sent by Joe Ma. Gallen rushed back to help Sunny and took him to the hospital. Roger called Kenix to tell her about Sunny's injury. She was very worried and rushed to the hospital with Flora. On their way there, their taxi was stopped by the police in one of the road block areas and Kenix realized that she had forgotten her HK ID...she was so worried about Sunny that she started crying. When they finally got to the hospital, Kenix in tears, rushed over to hug Sunny. At this moment, Gallen realized that they were dating. He seemed a bit jealous so he left to buy juice from the vending machine. When nothing came out, he hit the machine and FLora saw him. They went to the bar for a drink and when someone hit on Flora, Gallen beat him up. He was actually upset because of Kenix but he told FLora that he wouldn't interfere with Sunny and Kenix's relationship.

Gallen called Maggie out that told her that Sunny got beaten up. He told her that Sunny was already dating Kenix. Gallen hinted that Nicky was the culprit because he and Sunny had gotten into a fight a few days ago.

Maggie decided to quit her job. Nicky went to find her and she told him that she was tired of babysitting him. She felt his actions were very immature. Nicky went home and yelled at his brother. Chun Pui interfered and yelled at Nicky and wanted him to close the company because he felt that Maggie was a bad influence. Lisa Wong decided to step in and help out so she basically told Chun Pui to cook a midnight snack with her.

Nicky went to work very early the next day, trying to learn more about the company. During the meeting, Nicky suggested that they all go out for dinner but Maggie yelled at him for interrupting the meeting. Nicky went out and bought food back instead...Nicky thought of a good idea for their advertising project which involved hiring a top interior designer to decorate a few houses that they were trying to sell. Maggie liked the idea a lot.

Sunny found out where the government was planning on building the new MTR station. Gallen and Sunny believed that they would have enough money to buy a plot of land to build houses if they capitalized on the information.

Roger feels unimportant in the company because he takes care of small issues like buying toilet paper. Roger went shopping with Grace because she needed to finish buying things so that she could go overseas. Grace lied to Roger and told him that she dropped her passport. When she got home, Gallen lectured her and she ran out of the house. She went to buy concert tickets and Roger went to find her. Grace told Roger that she didn't want to got o college abroad--she would miss her family. She felt that Gallen didn't understand her. They both fell asleep waiting in line. When Roger reached into her bag for a tissue, he noticed that her passport was in her bag.

Kenix found a receipt for a car and noticed that the car seemed very expensive. She asked Roger about it and Roger realized that it was money that Gallen and Sunny had used to bribe the government worker for information. Roger confronted Gallen and Sunny after Kenix left and told them that he was very worried about their actions- what they were doing was illegal.

Roger and Grace came out of the bank and ran into Florence. Florence was furious because the ex-co-worker that Roger had recommended to her was screwing up her accounts. The three went to a coffee shop and Roger tried to calm her down by promising to fix her accounts. Grace was jealous because Roger was so nice to Florence.

Instead of giving Gallen and Sunny money as they had expected, Kwok Fung rewarded them with shares ofhis company's stocks. Kwok Fung knew that Gallen and Sunny were looking into buying a plot of land and he purposely didn't give them money. He wanted them to concentrate on working for him. Because of this, Gallen and Sunny didn't have enough money to bid for the plot of land. Sunny was very upset but Gallen warned him that it wasn't time to leave Kwok Fung yet becuase they still needed to use him.

Grace likes Roger. She kissed him and Roger sat up all night thinking about the kiss. The next day, he asked Kenix for her opinion.

Sunny had dinner with another CEO. Kwok Fung found out and thought that Sunny was selling his information to others also. Sunny ended up getting fired the next day, probably due to Kwok Fung's interference. Kwok Fung also ridiculed Sunny at his dinner.

Sunny gets angry at Gallen because he didn't try to help him. This puts Sunny in a very bad mood. When he gets home, Grace tells him that she wants to stay in Hong Kong and that she's dating Roger. Gallen slaps her and Grace runs out of the house. Gallen forbids anyone from chasing after her. Gallen goes to find Roger and punches him out. Grace gets raped in the street. The whole family is called to the hospital. Gallen was with Flora when he got the call. They all rush to the hospital and find out that Grace is on the roof of the hospital. She wants to jump off the building...the whole family begs her not to jump and Gallen goes on his knees to tell her that he's sorry. Grace hugs him and she goes down with them. Gallen feels horrible about what has happened and he blames himself. He still decides to send Grace to the US for college so that she can start her life over.

Gallen, Sunny, and Roger make up. Sunny receives news that a different company will be used for the construction. He tells Gallen and the two decide to utilize this opportunity for their own company 'Lik Tin' to make money and not tell Kwok Fung about it. They will invest in that company's stocks without informing Kwok Fung so that he can lose money by buying another company's stock.

Although Kenix's relationship with Sunny is slowly improving, she is still unsure about her relationship with him. Kenix finds out from her doctor that she has heart problems and it would be difficult for her to have children. She's very upset and that day, when she went out with Sunny, they ran into a little boy in the mall who was lost and Sunny bought him new shoes. She realized that he really likes little kids. Kenix felt really bad and pretended that she was sick the next day. Sunny brought food over and went to see her. She told him what the doctor said and Sunny told her that even though he really liked kids, she was the most important thing in his heart and he couldn't think of a life without her...(Call me sentimental but this was the most touching scene I watched in the series so far...) After this, Sunny proposed to Kenix and showed her the receipt for the ring he already bought her. She told him yes because she was so touched by what he said.

That night, Flora saw Kenix in her room looking at the broken Tamaguchi game that Gallen had created many months ago...

When Gallen brought the wine over to Sunny's house, Kenix was the only one there. She took the opportunity to give Gallen the game back, symbolizing that she was sure about her love for Sunny. When Gallen left with the game, he was very sad...Flora was still waiting for him in his car downstairs and the two spent the night together. Flora awoke first in the morning and when she was picking up Gallen's clothes, she noticed the Tamaguchi game and knew that Kenix had given it back to Gallen...and knew the real reason why Gallen slept with her...

Gallen's company ends up making $80,000,000. He buys his family a new house.

Michael Wong makes his appearance in the series as a lawyer. He met Flora one day when she saw him helping a pregnant lady on a taxi. Seeing that he couldn't get a taxi himself, Flora offered him a ride in the taxi that she was in. Michael Wong was from England and he's very funny in the series because his Chinese is really bad so he's always asking funny questions. Later, Flora finds out that Michael Wong's dad works at the same office as her. Michael Wong falls for Flora.

Sunny and Kenix have a beautiful wedding...

Gallen and Flora's relationship seems very shallow...he calls Flora out whenever he sees Sunny treating Kenix well and he feels uncomfortable. One time Flora is sick and Gallen doesn't really do anything but Michael Wong on the other hand, brings her a lot of medicine and even cooks macaroni for her to eat.

Sunny and Gallen thought of another plan to make money off of the market. Through Flora, Gallen found out that Chun Pui was very sick and had some sort of liver disease. They were going to release the news into the market so that Chun Pui's company "Ming Dai"'s stock would fall and at the same time, they would use Kwok Fung, Flora's dad, knowing that he would take action and buy "Ming Dai's" stock also.

Roger was running into Florence a lot recently. She was dating a married man and that relationship wasn't very stable. Roger is beginning to like Florence.

As planned, Chun Pui's stocks soon began to fall. Sunny and Gallen and Kwok Fung all bought the stock.
