Episodes 1-2

Bowie is a cop. He and his partner are in the car waiting for their target to come out of the building. Eddie walks out of the building with the target and a gang fight starts. A whole group of gangsters are trying to kill the person Eddie is protecting. Eddie was almost injured...luckily, Bowie shot the guy. They all ended up at the police station. Eddie's client yells at him for doing a poor job protecting him. Bowie and Eddie go for a drink later...apparently, they're very good friends. Eddie works as a supervisor in a bodyguard company.

At Bowie's house: Bowie wakes up in the morning and heads off to the bathroom and walks in on one of his mom's friend's who just finished peeing...she starts screaming. The misunderstanding gets cleared up by Bowie's mom. Bowie's parents have an argument because they bought a couple of houses a few years ago when the real estate situation in HK was still good. However, they're now having problems making the payments.

Marianne is at a local community center teaching a self defense class. Bowie goes to look for her and she makes him do some demonstrations. Marianne is Eddie's younger sister. She has a crush on Bowie. Bowie decided to buy some "bird's nest" (yim mo) for his mom so that his parents would stop arguing. Marianne offered to buy it for him. When she got home, her dad thought it was for him. When she finds out its for Bowie's family, he throws a fit and goes next door to Bowie's house and starts complaining. This is because Bowie is really cheap and Marianne never makes him pay her back. Bowie's dad and Marianne's dad are also on really bad terms. They are forever arguing.

Steven Ma is the son of wealthy tycoon, "Gei Jun Nam" played by Tsang Kong (haven't seen Tsang Kong in TVB series for a while...it's good to see him acting for TVB again!). Outside the office, a lot of reporters are waiting for Tsang Kong...they believe that he did something illegal with the houses he was building. There's a protest going on outside also...the homeowners threw eggs at Steven and in the confusion, Bowie's mom got accused of throwing the eggs.

Steven's sister is played by Florence Kwok. Tsang Kong seems to have more confidence in his daughter than his son.

Bowie runs into the guy who was accused of murdering his wife (Wallis Pang). He chases after him and beats him up outside the bar. Eddie tries to stop him but a few cops who were patrolling saw him and Bowie got in trouble from his head.

Apparently Bowie's wife, Wallis Pang, has been dead for 5 years now. However, he still misses her terribly. He has flashbacks of her and he picks up the ashtray that his wife made him.

Tsang Kong criticizes his son during breakfast. Steven is on his way to work. He gets kidnapped by a group of men lead by Dai Zhi Wai and Lui Kai Chee. Tsang Kong's helper/butler rushes to the office to tell his boss. Bowie is with his parents at Steven's office because he went with his parents to apologize for the egg-throwing incident. Bowie senses that something is wrong when he sees Tsang Kong's panicky look coupled with the fact that Steven's car was dented in.

Dai Chi Wai goes to find Tsang Kong. He asks for "10 yik"--10 billion? in ransom. Tsang Kong is very worried about Steven. However, that night, he tells Florence his decision--that he will call the cops because Dai Chi Wai has a reputation for killing the person he kidnaps. Florence is very worried about her brother and asks her dad to reconsider his decision. Bowie's team is put on the case.

Bowie's team finds out that Liu Kai Chee has a girlfriend, Angie Cheung Wai Yee. Therefore, he follows her and sees her meeting with Liu Kai Chee. Later, Bowie follows Liu Kai Chee and finds where Steven is being held. Steven is taped to lots of dynamite. At the same time, Bowie's head is with Tsang Kong and they are negotiating with the kidnappers. Tsang Kong meets up with Dai Zhi Wai. He tells him that he will only pay half the ransom until he sees that his son is safe. Dai Zhi Wai tells him that his son is covered with dynamite. If he makes one phone call, the beeper on Steven will go off, prompting the dynamite to explode. Bowie gets into a struggle with some of the kidnappers on the other end. He kills 2 and Liu Kai Chee gets away. He pulls the beeper off just in time. Dai Chi Wai and his men got away from the cops and Tsang Kong. Bowie drags Steven out of the shed and starts running. However, a few more of the kidnappers came back. Bowie pushed Steven down and they his behind some trash. Steven sees a big rat and screams so they are discovered...and they're on the run again. In the end, Bowie fakes that he has no more bullets in his gun he's giving Steven up...then he shoots both guys with one bullet and kills them. Steven is freaked out.

Both Steven and Bowie are in the hospital room. Steven's mad at Bowie for not being concerned about his safety.The two started arguing. Just then, Tsang Kong arrives and he thanks Bowie for saving Steven and gives him his business card just in cas he needs a favor in the future.

Bowie goes to Angie's boutique to ask about Liu Kai Chee. She refuses to give any info. He's actually hiding in her apartment. Liu and Angie have a very good relationship. He cares about her a lot. He reveals that he is leaving that night with Dai Chee Wai and a few other men.

Angie goes to find Liu Kai Chee at the dock. Apparently, he took her passport by mistake. Bowie and his teammate arrive and they start shooting. Bowie shoots the suitcase of money out of Dai Zhi Wai's hand and the money scatters everywhere. Dai Zhi Wai and Liu Kai Chee still get away on the boat. However, before Dai Zhi Wai leaves, he gives Bowie a really dirty look.

Bowie takes Angie back to the station for questioning.

Bowie sees the guy who killed his wife. He was arrested for a crime....Bowie beats him up again. His head comes in to stop him.

Bowie gets home and is kindda depressed. Marianne goes to the bar with him for a drink. Bowie tells her he still misses his wife a lot.

Bowie is forced to quit his job as a cop because of the incident. At home, he gets a call from his brother-in-law who needs money for college. Eddie lent him money.

Steven has recurring nightmares after the kidnapping.Tsang Kong is annoyed that his son is so unmanly. He decides to hire more bodyguards and sends out a RFP (request for proposal) to many bodyguard companies. Eddie's company was one of them.

Eddie sees his ex-wife again. She's hanging around a rich man who has a bad attitude. Eddie tries to warn her but she refuses to listen.

Episodes 3-4

Eddie's ex-wife wants to officially break off with him. She gives him money back for his share of their old house. Eddie lends this money to Bowie. He's still having problems finding a job.

In order to avoid the loanshark, Angie climbs out the window and falls and twists her ankle. Then, Bowie almost runs into her so she takes the opportunity to accuse him of making her twist her ankle. Bowie is forced to take her to the "teet dah" doctor (Chinese bone doctor). He takes her to see Marianne's dad.

Bowie sees that Eddie is very tense over Tsang Kong's proposal so he goes to ask Tsang Kong. He waits for a while but doesn't see Tsang Kong. Downstairs, Tsang Kong is once again surrounded by reporters. Bowie saves a kid from getting run over and everyone notices him. Tsang Kong invites Bowie into his office and Bowie takes the opportunity to ask about Eddie's security company. Tsang Kong told him that if Bowie worked there too, he'd have a bit more confidence. Tsang Kong hires Eddie's company and Bowie asks Eddie for a job there.

All of the bodyguards showed up at Tsang Kong's house for an initial inspection of the house and land around it. Steven is shocked to see Bowie there. Bowie spits in Steven's toilet while inspecting his room and Steven sees this. He asks his helper to get him a new toilet. (Steven is a neat freak...he's very clean)

Eddie assigns Bowie to protect Steven and while he protects FLorence. The next morning, they went to wait for Steven and Florence. Florence just got home in the morning and she made her way downstairs rather quickly. Meanwhile, Steven was still in the bathroom brushing, flossing, and rinsing and taking forever. Bowie was getting really annoyed. Bowie was forced to go joggin with Steven. Bowie eats some "lau leen" cake that he takes out of his pocket and Steven is disgusted by its stench and tells Bowie to stop eating it. Steven drops his medicine down the hill and orders Bowie to get it but Bowie refuses to Steven goes down himself...he falls and has an asthma attack. Bowie does mouth-to-mouth on him thinking that he needs "air". When Steven gets up, he rushes to the car and brushes and flosses...the is very disgusted by the smell.

Eddie is having problems with Florence also. She goes to a club in "Lan Kwai Fong" where there's a lot of people. Later, her ex-boyfriend follows her to the parking garage and insists on talking to her alone so they do. He holds a knife to her and Eddie saves her but he gets cut in the hand. Florence thanks Eddie...she starts treating him nicer after this incident.

Angie takes Marianne to her boutique and sells her clothes that are out of style. Outside, they are chased by the loanshark...Marianne beats them up and Angie is really surprised that Marianne fights so well. Angie lies to Marianne about why she owes people money.

Steven has to write a proposal for his dad regarding how to improve the business in their hotel. Tsang Kong criticizes Steven for doing a poor job. Florence does a proposal for Steven.

Florence is trying on dresses for an upcoming ball. She decides to pick the dress that makes Eddie look her over. She tells Eddie to go as her partner. Eddie sees his ex-wife and her new fiance at the ball. They belittle him but Florence defends him.

Angie asks Marianne to go out and eat...they get chased by loanshark again and Marianne gets a cut on her hand. At the hospital, Bowie yells at Angie for causing trouble.

Episodes 5-6

Marianne's dad tries to set her up and she's very upset. She tries to brush the guy off but he just won't take a hint. The guy takes her home and she runs into Bowie in the elevator...she thrusts the guy out of the elevator. Bowie's laughing at her.

Steven's dad,Tsang Kong, praises him on his new proposal even though he knew that Florence did it for him. Tsang Kong asks Steven to take his friend's daughter around Hong Kong--she's from Shanghai. In the hotel lobby Steven accidentally steps on Elaine's foot. They get into the elevator together. Steven's talking to the housekeeper/butler guy that works for his family. He says that girls from China don't know anything and looks down on them. He complains about having to take his dad's friend's daughter around. When Steven steps into the room for dinner, he realizes that the girl he was talking about was Elaine so he's kindda embarassed. Elaine is actually very smart. She graduated from Peking University and has been to Europe and many other places. Tsang Kong hired her to work in his company. Elaine also moves into Steven's house.

During the meeting the next day, Steven accidentally takes the wrong folder with him--this folder was the agenda from 2 weeks ago. Elaine points this out and all the people in the meeting room laugh at him because he looked like a fool. Steven went to Florence to complain about Elaine but Florence likes Elaine.

Florence gets flowers from an ex-boyfriend so she sneaks out without a bodyguard. She went to dinner with her ex-boyfriend. He wanted to be with her again but she refused him. While driving home, Florence saw Eddie chasing his ex-wife in the rain. The next day, Eddie goes to work with a cold. He's driving Florence and someone follows them. It turns out to be Florence's ex-boyfriend. She once again rejects him and tells him what's past is past. From watching her Eddie realizes that it's time to let go of his ex-wife.

It's Bowie's dad's birthday--Marianne's family went to the dinner also. Instead of giving him $300 worth of birthday money as her dad told her to, Marianne gives him $3000. The 2 dads are really happy and are treating each other very nice until the truth spills out. They fight of the gift certificate and it gets ripped. Marianne's dad is mad at her.

Angie is getting robbed. She got her bag back but Bowie sees the situation and tries to help her but makes her fall instead. At the police station, Angie yells at him. Bowie tells her that if he knew it was her he wouldn't have even tried to help. Bowie runs into Wallis' ex-co-worker at the station. He finds out from her that the insurance company that his wife worked at was involved with some airport burglary case...and it was perhaps because Wallis found out something about the case that she was murdered.

Marianne saw Bowie drunk in the street...he said that if he hadn't been late that evening to pick his wife up, then she wouldn't have been killed.

Bowie went to his wife's grave. Eddie went there to console him. Bowie said that he would investigate his wife's death. He went to the station to visit his ex-co-workers to see if he could find out more info. He saw Angie there. His friend at the station told him that Wallis' death may be linked to Dai Zhi Wai (the guy who kidnapped Steven). Bowie decided to try to get more info out of Angie since her boyfriend worked for Dai Zhi Wai.

The loanshark are after Angie. Bowie knows them so he decides to help her out to get on her good side. Bowie also offers to help Angie look for a new apartment. Marianne helps Bowie find the apartment. She calls in sick but runs into her boss and gets fired.

Tsang Kong wants to hire a bodyguard for Elaine. Marianne asks Eddie for a job as a bodyguard so he gets her the job.

Tsang Kong's whole family goes to the country club. Steven and Elaine play a game of tennis and he loses to her.

Steven and Elaine have to work on a proposal together. She stays late to work on it so Steven gets in trouble for leaving her there alone. Steven goes back to the office but he sleeps instead of helping her. He has already completed a proposal of his own but the next morning, his disk has an error on it and the file can't can't be opened. Elaine talked about her proposal which included firing some people and Tsang Kong liked her proposal but Steven diasagreed with it because he didn't want to fire anyone.

Steven challenged Elaine to a game of fencing. Marianne and Bowie were there as their bodyguards. Steven lost to ELaine and then Bowie was asked to fence against her. Bowie could've won but he thought about his wife and lost. Marianne thinks that Bowie lost to Elaine because he likes her. In the lockerroom, Bowie has flashbacks of Wallis.

Bowie borrows a "hearing device" from a co-worker. This device will enable him to record Angie's phone calls. He and Marianne helped Angie move and he planted the device in her phone.

Steven was still against firing workers from the company but his dad told him to do the firing.

Episodes 7-8

Steven is mad that his dad wants to fire the workers and had an argument with him. Steven left the office so Bowie followed. He asked Bowie who was right...Bowie responded that his dad seemed more successful in life so he was probably right. This angered Steven even more. Elaine felt guilty.

Steven was forced to apologize to his dad and do the firing. All the workers yelled at him. One guy spit on him. They all thought that Elaine was good and Steven was the bad guy. Steven got a suspicious package so the secretary went to find Bowie. When Bowie goes to find Steven, he's gone. They found him in Elaine's office--Steven was waving the "ghost money" in Elaine's face saying that it was meant for her. He was furious that they put him in a position that he didn't want to be in.

Angie calls Bowie to buy stuff for her...after making his rounds at the supermarket, he goes to her house. Angie gets a mysterious phone call so she tells Bowie to wait for her at a restaurant downstairs. Bowie goes outside and eavesdrops on her conversation. Later,Angie asks him why he's treating her so nicely. Angie thinks he likes her.

Marianne got in trouble with her dad. She goes to the roof and sees Bowie there fixing the house on the roof which belongs to a neighbor. They go inside and drink beer and both fall asleep. A neighbor sees them together and thinks they slept together. Both sides of the family hear about this. Marianne lies to her dad and says she's dating Bowie so that their parents will get along.

Eddie has to accompany FLorence to another ball. Eddie's ex-wife and her fiance made fun of Eddie but Florence stuck up for him.

Bowie wants Marianne to tell the truth because he thinks the whole matter is a nuisance.

Bowie complains to a co-worker that Steven is always working late at the office, causing him to stay late also. Steven overhears him so he decides to play a trick on Bowie. Steven leaves without telling Bowie but Bowie finds out that Steven leaves. Meanwhile, in the parking garage, one of the workers that was fired is seeking revenge on Steven. He wants to light him on fire and kill him. Bowie gets there in time and tells the guy to go ahead and kill him--his wife is dead and he's wanted to die for a long time. The guy listens to Bowie and releases them. Steven seems kindda touched by Bowie's story about his wife. Tsang Kong yells at Steven for his immature behavior...Steven blames Elaine.

Steven is nicer to Bowie now. He asked Bowie to give money to the worker who tried to kill them. In addition, he invited Bowie out to dinner. However, he didn't finish his proposal so they ended up eating carry-out.

Steven is becoming mroe hard-working now. He had a good idea for a proposal but his dad banned it during an initial review. Elaine encouraged him to keep his stand. She said that if he had his own judgement and was willing to take his stand, then he's be more successful. Bowie encouraged him also.

Angie went to borrow money from Bowie but he refused to lend her anymore money. She also wanted a bigger apartment. Marianne's dad saw Bowie with Angie and told Bowie's dad...when Bowie got home that night, his parents were pestering him about Angie.

Steven had to finish up a proposal at night but his secretary left already...therefore, he asked Bowie to type. Bowie was poking at the computer because he couldn't type very well. Elaine offered to type it for him. Elaine also made a correction for him. The next day, Steven stood by his initial proposal and Tsang Kong finally agreed with him. Steven was really happy. Bowie told him that Elaine was the one who helped him so he thanked her and they cleared up their misunderstanding. Elaine was happy that things were better so she told Bowie...Marianne misunderstood and thought that Elaine liked Bowie.

Florence told Eddie that she wanted to go to the beach...they ended up dancing.

Episodes 9-10

Eddie rejected Florence's kiss--so the situation turned kindda awkward and he drove her back home.

Steven and Elaine are working well together now. They went to play racquetball. Marianne thinks that they match well...(b/c she thinks Bowie likes Elaine so she's trying to discourage him). Marianne decides to encourage Steven to go after Elaine. She tells him that Elaine wanted to see a broadway show...so they went together and Steven is starting to like Elaine now. The whole family went to play golf...Tsang Kong thought Steven matched well with Elaine also. At the golf course, Florence runs into a male friend--so Eddie is kindda jealous.

Angie's at an ATM--she has very little money left. Bowie's mom left her money behind at the ATM...Angie found it and was forced to return it to her because another woman was fighting with her over the money. Bowie's mom thinks nicely of Angie now and pities her situation so she tells her about the apartment for rent that is in the same complex as Bowie's. Bowie is very angry that Angie's moving upstairs...his parents think that he's dating Angie. Bowie set up a new "hearing device" in Angie's new phone at her new house.

Elaine sees her ex-boyfriend in the streets and starts chasing after him, trying to find him.

Marianne helps Steven go after Elaine.

Angie's phone breaks so she takes it back to the store and finds out that Bowie planted a "hearing device" in it. She goes to yell at him.

Angie fakes that her great-aunt has kidney problems and she really needs money. Bowie's parents offer to be the co-signer on her loan. She left with the money and didn't go back.

Eddie finally admits to Florence that he likes her after she tries a lot of tactics to make him jealous. Eddie tells her that he didn't want her to know he liked her because he has very little confidence in relationships after the ordeal with his wife.

Elaine went back to the place where she saw her ex-boyfriend last time. She and Marianne both chased after him and Elaine finally caught up with him. They had a talk and he revealed that he didn't look for her because he couldn't get his license to be a doctor and he felt he wasn't good enough for her...he wanted to break up with her (they never actually broke up before--he just didn't contact her after he came to HK).

Now that Marianne knows that Elaine likes someone else, she tries to discourage Steven from going after Elaine and she only manages to confuse him. He gave Elaine a watch he bought for her but she rejects the watch and him. Steven goes for a drink at the bar and Bowie tries to console him. Steven goes home drunk that night. Tsang Kong notices that Steven and Elaine are acting peculiar. Steven told Bowie that he wasn't gonna give up on Elaine but Bowie told him that Elaine liked someone else. Steven told Bowie to call Marianne out because he was angry that she didn't tell him about Elaine's boyfriend. Steven yells at Marianne while she tries her best to apologize to him.

Bowie found Angie. His parents encouraged her to continue living there.

Episodes 11-12

Now that Bowie found out his wife's death has to do with Dai Zhi Wai (the guy who kidnapped Steven), he tries to do some investigating on his own.

Bowie's mom told him to bring soup up for Angie. Just as Bowie was about to leave, he heard Angie answering a mysterious phone call. Bowie followed her to the hospital. Angie caught him followed her and confronted her. Bowie found out that Angie went to see her sister and her son (whom she calls her godson b/c she doesn't want people to know she has a son).

Bowie went to Angie's house to pester her and found out that she lied to her sister about being a teacher. Angie admitted to Bowie that "Hoi Gor" was her son. Bowie promised not to reveal anything as long as she promised to tell him if she heard from Liu Kai Chee (this guy helps Dai Zhi Wai).

At a bar, Marianne was complaining to Bowie that Steven was still mad at her. They ran into Eddie and Florence and Bowie noticed that Eddie liked Florence.

Steven is still upset that things didn't work out between him and Elaine. He finally thought it thru and decided to talk to ELaine. The two decided to remain friends. Bowie was driving Elaine to a meeting and she got a call from her ex-boyfriend. He was arrested to possessing illegal prescription drugs. Bowie helped Elaine get his address.

Angie's family went to Bowie's house for dinner. Her son really likes Bowie.

Liu Kai Chee calls Angie and tells her to meet him at the pier the next day. Angie's son went to Bowie's house to play and Bowie took him out to eat. Angie's son revealed that Liu Kai Chee called Angie and that she was going to meet him some place. Bowie went to the police station to find his ex-supervisor and got to team to follow Angie. Lius Kai Chee got away because Eddie picked him up. Eddie warned Liu to stay away from Angie because Bowie was watching her. Liu Kai Chee said that Eddie should be the one who is scared...At the pier, Angie was crying because Liu Kai CHee never showed up. Meanwhile, Bowie was getting lectured by his ex-boss because they spent the whole night on duty but got nothing out of it.

Angie walked home and cried downstairs. Bowie was actually following her. He tried to console her and made her warm milk to drink. Later that day, Angie found out from her son that he told Bowie about her meeting with Liu Kai chee. Angie was furious so she went and confronted Bowie. The two started yelling at each other...

Bowie found Angie's younger sister a job at Steven's company as his secretary.

Bowie invited Mariane and Steven to happy hour. Mariane was really scared when she saw Steven because she thought he was still mad at her...however, the two of them made up. Mariane took Steven out to eat in the streets...something he's never tried before. They had a really great time and Steven loved the food.

Steven and Mariane have become good pals now. They frequently go out and eat together.

Angie's sister invited Bowie to their house for dinner to thank him for helping her find a job.

Florence went to a bar with "Roy" and Eddie was was kind of jealous. The two got into an argument.

Bowie and his dad ran into Steven and Mariane eating. Steven was envious of Bowie's relationship with his father. He realized that he and his dad (Tsang Kong) never had that kind of father-son relationship. Tsang Kong doesn't like his son hanging around Mariane.

Elaine and her ex-boyfriend made up...

Mariane was fired from her job as a bodyguard. Steven got angry and went to yell at his dad for being so unreasonable...then he left home and vowed not to go back.

Episodes 13-14

Bowie and Mariane found out that Steven ran away from home. Bowie and the rest of the bodyguards were sent to look for Steven. Tsang Kong was worried about Steven.

Steven called Mariane to apologize to her. Bowie, Mariane and Eddie found Steven at one of the hotel's his dad owns. Tsang Kong found the situation funny because Steven ran away but he was still living at the family-owned hotel.

Steven left the hotel the next morning and went to the park. He dropped his wallet and Mariane's dad found it and wanted to keep the wallet. Fortunately, Bowie's dad showed up and recognized him. Since Steven refused to go home, Bowie decided to let him stay at his house.

Angie came downstairs to check Steven out because she wanted to fix her sister up with him b/c he was rich...Bowie was laughing at her.

A female on the street said that Steven had the potential to be a model and cheated him out of his money. When Mariane found out that he fell for such an old trick, she couldn't stop laughing. Mariane encouraged Steven to find a job that he really liked. HE told her that he really liked to draw and drew a pic of her in a wedding dress.

Angie's son ended up in the hospital with food poisoning...Bowie took him to the hospital. Bowie went to visit him the next day and played with him. When Angie saw Bowie playing with her son, she was really touched.

Bowie's mom wanted to donate his old clothes away, including the sweater that his wife knitted for him. Bowie got angry and yelled at her. Bowie wore the sweater downstairs and Angie saw him in his raggety sweater that had a hole in it and asked if he was really that poor "dang cheen sai"...She also noticed that he was coughing. Angie and Mariane both went to the herb store to buy Bowie medicine.

With the help of Elaine, Steven was able to land a job in an advertising agency doing designs.

Mariane and Angie both went to buy yarn to knit Bowie a new sweater. Angie pretended to give him a massage but she was really trying to see how long his arms were (this part was really funny)...

Steven told Mariane to tell Bowie that she liked him. Mariane listened to him and asked Bowie out, but Bowie rejected her and told her that he always thought of her as a sister. Mariane called Steven out to yell at him for making her tell Bowie her true feelings. Then she started crying on him. Later, Bowie and Mariane decided that it'd be better for themt o remain good friends.

Liu Kai Chee called Eddie to tell him that he wanted to see Angie. Liu waited downstairs for Angie and Bowie saw him to he started chasing him. However, he got away but Bowie was arrested for causing a traffic mess while chasing Liu. Liu Kai Chee went to the police station to turn himself in...

Episodes 15-16

Eddie went to find Bowie, hoping to discourage him from asking Liu Kai Chee too many questions.

Eddie overheard FLorence talking to "Roy" about a stock that was going to go up. He asked his sister and dad to borrow money but they didn't have any so he went to the loanshark.

Angie went to visit Liu KAi Chee in jail.

Bowie's dad found out that Angie was the girlfriend of a gang member so he didn't want Bowie seeing her anymore. The landlady wanted Angie to move out and said some bad things to her...Bowie's dad felt bad so he spoke up for her.

Angie's son was going off to boarding school. He wanted Bowie to be his godfather so Bowie agreed.

Mariane found a new job teaching little kids kung fu at a local community center. Steven went to invite her out to dinner and developed an idea for an ad so he started drawing her. Steven asked Mariane to do the commercial and she finally agreed.

Tsang Kong saw Mariane and Steven walking together in the streets.

Eddie was angry that Florence was on the cover of the newspaper with "Roy"....aparently, "Roy" went to see Florence while she was in Japan. Eddie and FLorence got into another argument. Florence called him later that night. They met on the beach and Florence suggested that they break up because he didn't trust her. Also, she felt that they weren't compatible...she didn't "feel" anything for him anymore. Eddie misinterpreted and thought that she didn't want to be with him because he wasn't rich like she was.

Liu Kai Chee was found not guilty and released.

Dai Zhi Wai (the guy who kidnapped Steven and the guy who is Liu Kai CHee's leader met another gang leader on the yacht. They were plotting to kidnap the 3 richest men in HK.

Liu Kai Chee went to Angie's house. He saw the sweater Angie knitted for Bowie and thought it was for himself. He left Angie while they were eating because there were cops following them.

Elaine and Florence told Tsang Kong to ask Steven to return home and rehire Mariane.

Mariane went out to dinner with a male co-worker and Steven got jealous. He couldn't sleep all night so finally Bowie had to have a talk with him. Bowie encouraged Steven to ask Mariane out. THerefore, the next morning, Steven waited downstairs for her. When he told her that he liked her, Mariane punched him in the stomach. When Bowie heard about the incident, he started cracking up . He told Steven that he's never heard of a guy getting punched for expressing his love...Bowie decided to have a little talk with Mariane. He asked her if she really didn't like Steven...Mariane said she liked him a little. The next day, Mariane waited for Steven after work and told him that she'd give him a chance...they looked really cute holding hands...

Tsang Kong was at his wife's grave with Florence. They were waiting for Steven to show up. He came with Mariane. Father and son made up. Tsang Kong told Steven that he was proud that Steven finally learned to survive on his own. He asked Steven to return home. Tsang Kong even accepted Mariane. Steven had changed a lot...he went from being very anal and picky about certain things to being more casual. He didn't mind being a little dirty anymore...Before Steven left, he thanked Bowie's parents and told them that he had learned a lot from them.

Florence started dating "Roy". Eddie was still her bodyguard and the situation turned kind of awkward.

Episodes 17-18

Liu Kai Chee ran into Eddie at the staircase of Angie's apartment. Angie overheard Liu say that Eddie killed Bowie's wife. Angie rushed to tell Bowie this news. However, Bowie trusted Eddie and didn't want to believe her...he was very confused. Bowie and Steven went jogging. Steven noticed that something was troubling Bowie and asked but Bowie didn't tell him.

Steven quit his job and went back to work for his dad. Tsang Kong was happy that Steven now handled matters in a more mature manner.

Eddie's stocks went crashing so he now owed the loanshark a total of $2.8 million. Florence lent him some money but he lost it gambling. Liu Kai Chee called Eddie and told him that Dai Zhi Wai wanted his help...Eddie claims that if he hadn't helped him the first time, he wouldn't be in this mess today.

Bowie's mom took his sweater to the cleaners but they couldn't find it. He went to the cleaners to try and find it. Angie saw him there and told him that he was being unfair to those around him. He was living for someone who was dead. When Bowie got home, his dad gave him a lecture too. Bowie packed the sweater up, signifying that he had decided to move on with his life.

The loanshark were after Eddie...he now owes them $3 million. He tried to borrow more money from Florence but she said no...she told him that she didn't think he had dated her for her money but now she thinks otherwise.

Bowie saw Eddie talking to Liu Kai Chee and found out that he really did kill his wife.

Eddie joined Dai Zhi Wai's group and found out that his job is to help kidnap Tsang Kong.

Bowie went to find Eddie...he told him that he had always trusted him but he promised his wife that he would find the killer...when Eddie looked up, he realized that Bowie drove him to the police station. Eddie tried to run but Bowie caught him. Eddie told him that Dai Zhi Wai was the true mastermind. Eddie asked Bowie to give him one night so that he could talk to his sister and dad. Bowie said okay. However, the next morning, Eddie was gone. He went to Wallis' grave and had flashbacks of the past: Eddie and Bowie's wife, Wallis, worked at the same insurance company. Wallis saw Eddie photocopying some confidential documents and wanted to tell the boss so Eddie chased her and during the struggle, he accidentally pushed her out the window. Eddie stole the papers for Dai Zhi Wai because his own wife wanted more money.

Bowie told Mariane that Eddie was involved in Wallis' death.

Eddie went to find Florence and told her that he never dated her for her money.

Bowie asked Angie to help him find Eddie.

Mariane's dad fainted and was taken to the hospital. Mariane paged Eddie, hoping that he would respond. He did go to the hospital and Bowie saw him so he followed Eddie. Eddie held a gun to Bowie...then Dai Zhi Wai and his men came out and wanted to kill Bowie but Eddie saved him...Dai Zhi Wai beat Eddie up...

Eddie saw on the news that Florence was marrying "Roy". Eddie secretly went to see Florence taking her wedding pictures.

Eddie plans the kidnapping of Tsang Kong since he knows the company and the security very well. They used gases and successfully kidnapped Tsang Kong and Florence. Dai Zhi Wai called Steven demanding a billion in ransom...he was actually planning to kill Tsang Kong and Florence after he got the money.

Episodes 19-20

Steven was willing to take the money out to ensure the safety of his family. He was really worried though and Bowie gave him the courage to be stronger.

Dai Zhi Wai promised to give the address of where Tsang Kong and Florence were being held but he never did. The cops shot the guy that Dai Zhi Wai sent. Steven realized that Dai Zhi Wai never intended to release his family.

Bowie had an idea and he told Steven about it...the next day, they gathered all the reporters and Steven announced that he would not pay the ransom. However, he would use that 1 billion as reward money to whoever had news or captured Dai Zhi Wai...the reward was valid anyday, anytime, even if his family was dead---all he wanted to do was hunt the kidnappers down... (This part was similar to the movie "Ransom")...This news angered Dai Zhi Wai so he called Steven. Steven merely hung up on him, saying that his family was probably dead already. Dai ZHi Wai got Tsang Kong to speak on the phone and Tsang Kong told his son not to pay..then Steven heard a gunshot before the line was cut off...he was very worried...

In reality though, Tsang Kong merely got shot in the arm...he was laughing because he was proud of his son.

Bowie was at Angie's apartment and saw a match box with the name of a place imprinted on it...he thought it was a lead so he took it to the cops.

Dai Zhi Wai's men wanted the money so they tried to kill him but were unsuccessful. Neighbors heard shots and called the cops. Dai Zhi Wai, Liu Kai Chee, Eddie, and another guy escaped with Tsang Kong and Florence. Dai Zhi Wai wanted to shoot Florence so Eddie shot him instead. Eddie decided to take over the kidnapping. Dai Zhi Wai ended up in the hospital.

Eddie released Florence so that she could tell Steven to pay the ransom for their father.

Mariane got a fax from her brother so she took it and showed it to Steven.

Steven took the ransom money to Eddie to save his dad. Mariane went along also because she wanted her brother to turn himself in. One of the men started shooting and Mariane got shot when she tried to save her brother. Eddie left the scene, even though he was very worried about his sister. Mariane was taken to the hospital. Steven blamed himself for taking her along.

Angie called up a radio station and told the story of how she met Liu Kai Chee. Bowie and Liu both heard her on the radio. Liu called Angie and told her that he wanted to leave HK with her and told her where to wait. The next day, Angie went to see him but told him that she couldn't leave with him because she still had to take care of her son and she was tired of living like this. Bowie arrived and told Eddie to turn himself...Eddie told Bowie to stop pushing him. Eddie tried to shoot Bowie but Angie pushed him out of the way...however, Liu Kai Chee pushed her out of the way and got shot. Then he shot Eddie.

At the hospital, Mariane finally woke up... Steven told her that he'd always be there for her.

Liu Kai Chee woke up also. Angie told him that she'd wait for him to get out of jail.

Bowie asked Angie out and he thanked her for trying to save him. He said he'd treasure the future and asked her for a chance. However, Angie told him that she couldn't leave Liu Kai Chee after he risked his life to save her. Bowie said he understood .

Dai Zhi Wai was sentenced to life in prison. Eddie was sentenced to 20 years and Liu was sentenced to 8 years.

Tsang Kong held another reporter session and announced that Steven was the new CEO of his company because he was retiring. Elaine decided to go back to Shanghai with her boyfriend. Florence married "Roy". Steven proposed to Mariane and she said yes. Bowie went to visit Eddie in jail...Eddie asked for his forgiveness. Bowie then went to his wife's grave...

Bowie ran into Angie while they were both crossing the street...they walked in opposite directions...
