Thanks to KC for typing this summary!

The series is called "Wong Fei Hung" starring Zhao Wen Zhuo (Chiu Man Chuek) as Wong Fei Hung and Maggie Siu Mei Kei as Aunt Thirteen (13 Yee).  Actually, some of the cast from the movie ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA is in it including Max Mok Siu Chung as Leung Foon, Kent Cheng Juk Si as Porky Wing, and Hung Yun Yun as Ghost Foot Seven.  This has five parts namely:

The Suspicious Temple
This is about Wong Fei Hung and his student Kent Cheng and Seven going to the Shaolin temple to treat the head of the temple who is ill.  It turns out that the head of the temple has a sexually transmitted disease and later on, it becomes evident that this head is fake.  Wong Fei Hung manages to rescue the temple from dissolution and becomes promoted as head.  However, more problems arise and his father, Wong Kai Ying saves the day by becoming temporary head of Shaolin himself.  This is a funny series - the humour comes from the repeated attempts of Kent Cheng (Porky Wing) to make money by doing business with the Shaolin Temple.

The Headless General
As the title suggests, there is a headless general in this series.  However, this is actually a fake ghost and the "story" was hatched by the murderer (of the real general) who kept the general's head in a chest.  This is not that great.

The Eight Assassins
This is the BEST of the five parts.  The story is about 8 assassins who have been hired to duel with and kill Wong Fei Hung.  The problem is that WFH becomes poisoned and is unable to fight.  His students take turns dueling with the assassins.  Each fight is filled with suspense and moving scenes.  In addition, there is a romance between Jacqueline Law Wai Guen (as Ying Goo) and Kent Cheng (the eldest student who just got back from HK).  The part before the last duel is excellent - vey touching - as each of the students cry as they wich their Sifu all the best, knowing in their hearts that Wong Fei Hung will lose and die.  However, the series ends very nicely.

The Final Victory
I don't remember much about this one except that Aunt Thirteen is fooled by a man who pretends to support the rebels.  At the same time, Wong Fei Hung meets a powerful KungFu master who turns out to be female and also a former lover of his Dad.  Anyway, towards, the end, WFH once again saves the day by preventing the rest of the rebels from being poisoned by the evil pretender.

The Ideal Century
This is about the so-called Ideal Century" following the overthrow of the C'hing Dynasty.  There is a competition between several rich men as well as Wong Kei Ying to make the new type of currency to unite the people an make trading easier.  Wong Kei Ying succeeds in getting the job and with Wong Fei Hung and Eileen Ng's help, they managed to make the new currency but no one wanted to use it.  Throughout the process, Bowie Lam while pretending to be a friend throws a spanner in the wheel on several occasions.  It turns out that he wants to bring back the C'hing Dynasty.  On the other hand, it turns out that Eileen Ng and her boss (the president) are not any better since they are power-hungry people without any feelings for the suffering of the people.  In the middle of the power struggle is Wong Fei Hung and his father and a very sad Aunt Thirteen who feels that she has been left out, rejected and unloved.  In the end, WFH weds Aunt Thirteen and in order to lead Bowie and Eileen in another direction (thereby preventing then from getting the money to serve their power-needs) while his Dad takes care of the funds.  Both Bowie and Eileen chase after them and during the fights, Bowie dies whereas Aunt Thirteen takes a gunshot from Eileen (who also dies) to save WFH - a tragic ending.
