Shinji Ikari- Shinji, the third child, is a 14 year old boy who likes to keep to himself and doesn't like to share his feelings or his thoughts with others. When confronted to, he will answer honestly, but with definate regret. He is the son of Gendou Ikari, the supreme commander of NERV. Abandoned by his father at a young age, he acts very negative towards his father, but deep down, he is really searching for the love of his father and is envious of the relationship that Rei Ayanami has with his father. |

Rei Ayanami- Rei, the first child, is a 14 year old girl who is always very quiet and stays by herself all of the time. She starts out with no friends and intends to keep it that way. All of her previous records were destroyed and so all of her past is a mystery. She only opens up to Gendou Ikari, the father of Shinji Ikari. Asuka Langley Sohryu- Asuka, the second child, is also a 14 year old eva pilot. She is 1/4 Japanese and 3/4 German. Being the exact opposite of Rei, she is always active and is a positive figure. She was only discouraged when she found out that the sync ratio of Shinji with his eva is higher than her sync ratio with her eva. Touji Suzuhara- Toji, the fourth child, is 14 years old just like the rest of the eva pilots. When he finds out that he is the fourth child, he is not too thrilled and he only joined NERV under the condition that his kid sister would be placed in NERV's private hospital. Misato Katsuragi- Misato is the commander and gives all of the commands during a battle against the angels unless Gendou Ikari takes over. She allows both Shinji and Asuka to live with her. She loves to party and drink a lot of beer. She and Kaji had a thing going together a long time ago and now things between them are starting to spark up again. |

Ritsuko Akagi- Risuko is the head of the intellegence department. Her mother created the Magi and now that her mother is dead, she is the one in charge of making sure that the Magi are fully operational. She is walking down the same path as her mother did and that frightens her. |

Kensuke Aida- Kensuke is a classmate of the four eva pilots. He desires to pilot an eva unit more than anything and when he learns of Unit 03, he tries to see if Shinji can do something that will get him the position to pilot it. |

Kaji Ryouji- Kaji originally came to Tokyo-3 as an escort to Asuka. Kaji is a childhood flame of Misato. When he and Misato meet again, he does his job flirting with her while she attempts to take no care or notice. Later on, she allows her feelings to over come her and she and Kaji spend a great evening together. |
