Evangelions
Evangelion Units are the Ultimate fighting machines created by NERV, in secret, to protect all of man kind. They are intended to be used as a final resort, and they have never found an opponent that they couldn't handle. All Evangelion units require the soul of a human and then they also require the heart of another, the pilot, as well. The Eva units are actually angels copies that are contained and kept in order by means of the armor plating around them. Eva units run off of an external power source and can run for 5 minutes top without its power cable.
The Eva pilot is injected into the Eva by means of an entry plug and can only be operated when the entry plug has been placed into the unit. When the entry plug is securely placed in the Eva unit, it is filled with LCL. LCL is an equivalent to a life support system, only, it is a liquid that fills the lungs of the pilot and then oxygenates the blood directly. Eva units also have an AT field, also known as an Absolute Terror Field, which is a defense shield that is very difficult to penetrate.

Evangelion Unit 00- Unit 00 is the prototype unit piloted by Rei Ayanami. It is the first Evangelion unit ever built and has many faults. Originally, this unit had a yellowish exterior with fewer armaments but after taking extensive damage, it was replaced with a blue in color armor, more durable than the last. |

Evangelion Unit 01- Unit 01 is the main Evangelion unit. It is piloted by Shinji Ikari and has the most records or going berserk. Shinji has the highest sync ratio with unit 01 than all of the other pilots have with their Evangelion units. Unit 01 is armed with a tactical knife in its upper left shoulder and is also armed with an assault rifle. Evangelion Unit 02- Unit 02 is piloted by Asuka Sohryu. Unit 02 has four eyes unlike all of the other Evangelion units. Unit 02 is armed with a tactical knife, a vibrating knife, and an assault rifle. |

Evangelion Unit 03- Unit 03 was piloted by Touji Suzuhara. Unit 03 never made it past the field test because once it was activated, it turned into an angel. It was renamed the 13th Angel and when abort codes were given to eject the pilot, it used some sort of webbing to hold it's pilot within. Unit 03 runs off of it's own energy just like every other Angel which is one thing that seperates it from the rest of the Evas. |

Evangelion Unit 04- Unit 04 was created by NERV-2 two in the USA. It was the first Evangelion Unit that was given the S2 engine and also used the dummy plug. Upon activation, it was destroyed and nearly destroyed all of NERV-2. The US dropped the project and testing of Unit 04 was haulted. |

Evangelion Unit 05- Unit 05 is the first of all of the Evangelion units to take advantage of the S2 engine. This unit does not require a pilot, the dummy plug system takes care of that. The technology makes human pilots obsolete. Created by SEELE as the ultimate fighting machine, Unit 05 can not be destroyed unless the Longinus Lance is used. Whether brutally beaten or decapitated, Unit 05 will always fight till the end. |
