Review by Melissketeer President Paul Leone...

Being a brave (and bored) Melissketeer today, I rented Albino Alligator. I watched the whole thing through, somewhat of an achievement for someone with a nanosecond attention span. All together, it wasn't that bad a movie. Definitely not a classic, but not destined for Mystery Science Theater either. Melinda's part was, alas, somewhat small. She was on screen for maybe 10-15 minutes, but it was a decent role.

My favorite Melinda scene where the senior FBI agent gives her a nice long appreciative look - hey, who wouldn't? <g> - then ruins her exclusive interview by swearing with every other word. She does a good job as an eager for a story reporter. The rest of the cast - especially Gary Sinise and Matt Dillon as two-bit hoods - is excellent, even if the plot is a little bit lacking. The "plot twist" near the end wasn't much of a surprise (watch it and you'll see what I mean), and the ending was weaker than I had hoped. I'd give the movie a C+, and hope that Melinda does more work on the big screen.

For-the-record stuff: Melinda's character was Jenny Ferguson, a reporter for New Orleans Channel 7 News. She was listed 9th in the opening credits.
