House Of Frankenstein

Review by Melissketeer President Paul Leone...

This is what happens when ideas formed at late night parties in Hollywood reach the big screen. Sure, in theory a modern Frankenstein story (with some vampires and werewolves tossed in) could be cool. But boy, did this one reek. Bad acting, bad writing, really bad makeup. The single ray of light was (drum roll, please...) Melinda, playing a cool cop with about an hour less screen time then she deserved. I loved her line "You know, like a werewolf?" It sounds dumb, but it was the highlight of the miniseries for me. Otherwise, a waste of time and Melinda. At least she didn't get eaten by one of the many crappy monsters running around. If there is a sequel (and the writers oh-so-cleverly left plenty of room for one), my dream is that her character goes on a rampage and kills all the evil or stupid people. That is, everyone except her.
