
- Living in Boston as a child, Melinda's earliest experiences in theatre were with the Boston Children's Theatre. In her first performance there in 1975, Thumbelina and the Ugly Duckling, she played the role of "first singing flower from the left". She went on to play other roles such as a party guest in the 1976 production of Cinderella.
- While living in London, Melinda was a member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and had roles in several productions there including Twelfth Night, El Cid, The Foreigner, and The Mask of Moriarty.
- Melinda's most recent theatre work has been in Los Angeles, where she currently resides, with the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
- At LA's Whitefire Theatre in 1993, Melinda produced Ellen McLaughlin's Days and Nights Within. The show won Drama-logue awards for Best Actor and Best Actress.
- Melinda is certified in stage combat by the British Society of Fight Directors.
