Review by Melissketeer President Paul Leone...

Okay, first off, let's get one thing clear. This is most definitely a Leslie Nielsen movie. If you bear that in mind, you'll have fun. The plot (such as it is) is that Leslie Nielsen's character, Ryan Harrison, is framed for murder. In The Fugitive style, he escapes and must prove his innocence. By the time he does, the movie spoofs The Fugitive (duh), Mission: Impossible, The Usual Suspects, Braveheart, The X-Files (the infamous elevator outtake, no less), Titanic and A Clear and Present Danger. Probably some others that I can't remember or just didn't get, too.

Anyway. When a movie opens up with Melinda (in a reeeeally nice silver dress) getting out of a car, you know it's gonna be all right. And it is. Melinda (aka Cass Lake) and Leslie have great chemistry together. Of course, Melinda has great chemistry with anybody. The rest of the cast, esp. Richard Crenna as the Tommy Lee Jones type, do a fine job and the gag team outdid themselves. The scene involving a diaper collection truck was the funniest, in my opinion.

What else? Ah, yes - did I mention how awesome it is to see Melinda up on the big screen where she belongs? Stay there! Make more movies!

So, in closing - The spoofs were all on target (I never thought I'd see someone make a spoof of The Usual Suspects, but it worked) and the jokes were mostly funny. Melinda was great, of course. I'd love to see her in more comedies.

Overall, I'd give Wrongfully Accused a B+.
