Charmander the Stray Pokémon

Ash and the gang continue on their way to Vermillion City. He points out that Route 24 will take them there, but they suddenly notice a Pokémon on a huge rock. It was a Charmander, weakened because of the flame on its tail was almost out, and Brock tells them that if the flame goes out, Charmander dies. Ash determines to catch it, and throws a Pokéball at the Pokémon, but Charmander bops it back to Ash. Later the gang heads to the nearest Pokémon Centre for some soup, but they overhear a gang of guys bragging about their Pokémon. They overhear that a guy named Dameon abandoned his Charmander on a huge rock, and immidiately Ash, Misty and Brock know what their talking about. They run as fast as possible to get the Charmander to the Pokémon Centre and heal it, before it dies. Charmander was left in the emergency room. Later the next day.. CHARMANDER WAS GONE! Everyone gets in a big panic, trying to find Charmander. They predict that Charmander went back to the rock to wait for Dameon, it's master. But more trouble occurs, Team Rocket is working on a trap to catch Pikachu. Pikachu doens't get caught in the trap, but the others do. Team Rocket place Pikachu in a red rubber bag, as they wear rubber suits so if Pikachu tried to shock them, it wouldn't work. Charmander comes in, and tells Team Rocket to let Pikachu go, but they don't listen. Then Charmander blows a big fire blast at them, which sends them blasting off. Dameon comes, wanting his Charmander back, but it doens't want to go with him, and Pikachu and Charmander electricute and burn Dameon. "Say, Charmander, would you like to join our team?" Ash asks, as Charmander goes in the Pokéball Ash throws. Ash caught a new Pokémon... and a new friend!
