Electric Shock Showdown

What? What does the gang of Ash, Misty, Brock and Pikachu see? They are finally in VERMILLION CITY!!! Ash is sworn to battle the Vermillion City gym leader, Lt. Surge, but Misty knows that Ash is not exactly ready to battle him. Once Pikachu is fed some food, they head off to the gym. Lt. Surge was the typical muscle-man, and he had a Raichu. They have a battle, and Pikachu lost, and was hurt really seriously. The gang take Pikachu to heal at a Pokémon Centre and they discuss that Pikachu can never win against Lt. Surge's Raichu. Nurse Joy suggests a Thunder Stone, a stone that evolves Pikachu's into Raichu's. Ash lets Pikachu decide, but it throws the Thunder Stone, and doesn't want to evolve. Outside, Team Rocket is spying on them, and crying because it was so tragic.

While the gang are heading back to the gym, Team Rocket (disguised) come and give Pikachu a cheer. Very odd, isn't it? So once again, Pikachu and Raichu are battling. This time, Pikachu has confidence in itself, and dodges an agility move... Raichu's don't learn agility if they're evolved to fast, so while Raichu was trying to use thunder-moves on Pikachu, Pikachu was way to quick, and finishes Raichu off. Ash is rewarded with a Thunder Badge..... and now, he officially has 3 Pokémon badges, and happily shows them off.
