Mew is one of those secret Pokémon that every one wants to catch. You can not catch this Pokémon in the English Versions WITHOUT a gameshark.

A Mew Poem...

One night I lay awake,
In the light of the moon I lay awake,
I wondered what mystereries lie ahead,
as I lay awake on bed,
I wonderd if it as true,
About the story I heard of Mew,
I heard it had a heart of gold,
Thats only part of what I was told,
I heard its eyes were icey blue,
All I wonderd if it was true,
As I lay awake in bed,
a glimpse if something my eye,
it was in the sky,
I leaped out of my bed and looked around,
But what I found,
Was the sky and moon and the stars,
But I knew I had saw something,
Something pink and slim,
I thought it had blue eyes,
as blue as the earthly skies,
I shook my head in disbelief,
and went back to bed,
but as i slept I heard A voice whipser in my ear,
"Mew" it said in my ear,
the voice was bright and clear,
as I slept I knew that mysteries must be true,
From then on I knew i'd seen a Mew.
One night in bed,
I lay awake again,
Still dumb founded about the Mew,
I thought I saw in the starlight in the stars,
I thought I heard it's wonderful vioce,
One night when I lay awake,
I shook my head in disbelief untill that faitfull night,
When it came It was soaring through the nightly sky,
Gliding like a kite,
I thought I saw its eyes of blue,
The eyes of the one they call Mew,
I knew it was true,
I knew it was!
But no one did believe me,
then one tonight i lay awake almost disbeleiving,
that I saw the Mew that night,
Was it a dream?
Was it an illusion?
For now I am not sure,
All I know is that night I saw a glimpse of someting,
It didn't seem like a dream or a mirge at all,
I even heard the call,
Of the Mew i've been seeking,
But no one believes me at all!
I know I'm not crazy,
I know I'm telling the truth,
Infact that guves me an Idea!
I think i'll set a trap for Mew,
One night on a summer's eve,
I'll do just that!
But for now I need some sleep
