Pokémon Dictionary

This is the section for all those people who would like to know more about what Pokemon and all those definitions of Pokemon mean. Let's start!

Pokémon- (po-kay-mon) Are little monsters/creatures who inhabit the world of Pokemon. There are many species and is said that there are more than 151 species of Pokemon.

Pokéball- This is a little high tech ball that you need in order to catch a Pokemon. There are many rankings of Pokeballs, such as Great Balls and Ultra Balls, but those are used for the more harder and advanced Pokemon.

Poké centre- The Poke centre is a Pokemon check-up place where you can get a full healing for your injured Pokemon. It is totally free, and a daily check up is recommended for your Pokemon.

Gym Leaders/Gyms- A gym is a battle arena where you battle gym leaders. A gym leader usually carries Pokemon of the same element.

Badges- Badges are what you earn after you defeat a gym leader. They are needed so you can prove your experience/knowledge, and so that your Pokemon can get stronger.

Pokédex- A Pokedex is a high tech encyclopedia which keeps track of every single Pokemon you have seen and have caught. It will even tell you information about a certain Pokemon.

Rivals- Your rivals are the ones who you compete against. They want to show that they are just as good as a Pokemon trainer, so they will ask you to battle often.

Evolution- Pokemon have many stages when they grow. The more experiece they have, the more of a chance they can "evolve" into their new stage. Such as a Bulbasaur to an Ivysaur.

Experience- Experience is what your Pokemon get each time they battle. It is very valuble stuff, and is what is needed to make your Pokemon stronger.
