The School of Hard Knocks

The gang head off to Vermillion City, not knowing what troubles may occur. Ash and Misty are fighting again, and Brock suggests some food for them. They have a little "French style" cooking, but they don't have any wood! If you don't have any wood, you can't do anything!! So Ash goes off with Pikachu to find some wood, but they notice something up ahead. There was a group of kids that were torturing a kid on a treadmill, so Ash comes in to stop this nuisince. These group of kids were students from Pokémon Tech, a school for trainers that want to become great Pokémon trainers. Brock shows Misty and Ash a little brochure about this school. The kid that was being tortured on the treadmill (Joe) is a student from Pokémon Tech, and his friends (the ones who were torturing him on the treadmill) help him be better... "Uh.. you call those friends?" Ash hisses. Joe tells them that a beginner is as good as a person with 2 badges, a intermediate student is as good as someone with 4 badges. And an advance student is as good as someone with eight badges. Ash says that he would like to talk to the person who is in charge, and Joe shows them a picture of a very pretty girl named Gazelle, which Misty gets very jealous of. They go inside the building, and Misty and Joe have a battle. Misty sends out her Starmie, and Joe sends out his Weepinbell. Plant Pokémon have an advantage of water Pokémon, but Weepinbell lost... "Huh? How could my Weepinbell lose against your Starmie?" Joe wonders. Then the all-so beautiful Gazelle comes out, and insuls Joe that he is a weak trainer. Gazelle and Misty have a cat fight, then they battle. Gazelle sends out Gravler, and Misty stays with her Starmie. Graveler beats Starmie, leaving Misty upset and down. This time they go outside and Ash battles Gazelle. He sends out his Pikachu, while Gazelle sends out her Cubone. At first, Pikachu lost against it, getting beaten up by the bone of Cubone, but when Pikachu focuses and tries, it beats Cubone.. (yay!) Sooner or later, Team Rocket come busting in, but the classmates of Pokémon Tech throw their Pokéballs at them, making Team Rocket weep and runaway.. blasting off again! At the end, Gazelle and Joe become good friends.. "See, Misty, why can't we be like that?" Ash mutters. "Cause somebody doens't owe somebody a bike!!" Misty screams. Brock tries to stop the fight.. like usual!
