Coming to God’s Love is written to help fourth graders grow in living as friends of Jesus Christ and as members of his Church.  Coming to God’s Love tells how the commandments of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ help us to live happily and freely as God’s people.  It teaches us that we share the responsibility for building the kingdom, or reign, of God in our world today.  Every time they use this book, the young people are encouraged to ask the Holy Spirit to help them:

• be faithful followers of Jesus Christ;
• live faithfully the commandments of God and of the Church;
• find ways to be signs of God’s love to everyone;
• thank God by words and actions for the gift of God’s love;
• think about ways Jesus wants them to continue his work and be a peacemaker.
