Sugarcubes was the biggest band to ever come out of Iceland
formed in 1986 after Björk split from KUKL.
Lasting half a decade, the Sugarcubes (aka 'Sykurmolarnir' in their native tongue) consisted of:

- Björk Guðmundsdóttir : vocals
- Einar Örn Benediktsson : vocals + trumpet
- Einar Melax : keyboard (replacing first keyboardist Friðrik Erlingson)
- Sigtryggur "Siggi" Baldursson : drums
- Þór Eldon : guitar
- Margaret "Magga" Örnolfsdóttir : keyboards
