Björk explains the
meaning of the term "Tappi Tíkarrass"
"It's an expression the farmers use if something fits very smoothly
together,
and they say, it fits like the top of a bottle into a bitch's arse"
Tappi Tíkarrass consisted of 4 band members one of which was Björk (as the
drummer).
Tappi Released 2 albums and appearing in a couple of films, most famous the Icelandic
documentary "Rokk Í Reykjavík" with 2 songs, Björk also became the
cover girl of the video. Tappi later on played a lot alongside two other bands,
'Purrkurr Pillnikk' and 'Þeyr'. A notable member of 'Purrkurr Pillnikk' was
singer / trumpeter Einar Örn Benediktsson who later would join Björk as a
vocalist in The Sugarcubes.
