Hard To Hold Her

It's hard to hold her

When all she's ever known

Is sand in her eyes

With changing her name

And hiding

We danced in spite of him

Though all the while I cried

Knowing we'd soon leave

But not leave behind

All we ran from

Our own deaths

Hiding behind closed doors

Hard to hold her

When she's not inside

I only I'd known

She's already died

Bargain for a breath

And a better year

So alone now she's not here

My ticket home

She never came

Hard to hold her

when I'm not there or in theme

And now we cannot share a name.
