Mille Lacs Island Resort

Mille Lacs Island Resort, in Mille Lacs, MN, is being expanded through the construction of a series of pedestal homes for vacation use.  Robert Spizzo of Whitebirch Inc., the resort owner, wanted a roofing material that would be contemporary and nautical in appearance.  Met-Tile's tile facsimile roofing was selected in a Gallery Blue hue that fit in with the waterfront project.  The metal roofing was initially used to reroof an existing clubhouse (shown in accompanying photo), which was used as a pilot project prior to installation on the future pedestal homes.  Met-Tile supplied 6,200 sq.. ft of the 3'-wide panels in lengths up to 20'.  They were installed on a 12:12 slop and formed of 26-gauge Zincalume-coated steel with a Gallery Blue/Polyceram 3200 finish.  The roofing contractor was Classic Roofing Systems by K.F. Loosen Construction of Cloquet, MN
