This mini version of the M-16 is a prized tool for knocking off noisy
neighbors and petty dictators. |
| General Info |
The Commando is the carbine version of the M-16, and was never officially
adopted by the US Armed Forces. However, there was enough support for this
type of weapon, that when the M16A2 was adopted, the M4 Carbine was also
made available to certain troops. The older Commandos still see usage with
some SWAT Teams around the country. Usually in situations where the power
of a rifle is desirable, but having the extra range is not a necessity. |
