All Rights Reserved. WHAT IS ZDNET'S EX-CLUE-SIVE CODE ---------------------------------- Can machines think? Find out by playing this game of "pure logic" against your own PC. You and the PC play detective and engage in a war-of-minds to break each other's secret-code using the clues of Bulls & Cows. ZDNet's Ex-CLUE-sive Code is a fun way to improve your logic. The rules of this MasterMind-type game are unbelievably simple, but the play can be very complex. Witness how the PC plays superbly, as if you are playing against a human. Artificial intelligence? Play and see. WHO CAN USE ZDNET'S EX-CLUE-SIVE CODE? -------------------------------------- This program will run under Win95, 98, or NT. HOW TO INSTALL -------------- After downloading the ZIP file, double click Setup.EXE. ZDNet's Ex-CLUE-sive Code will automatically begin its install program. Follow each step throughout the install program. After install is complete, just click on the shortcut icon on your desktop or by clicking Start|Programs|ZDNet Exclusives| ZDNet's Ex-CLUE-sive Code. BASIC OPERATION --------------- Choose a solo game or one against the PC. Choose the number of digits you'd like to guess as the secret code--3, 4, or 5. Enter your guess and the PC will send back clues to you in the form of bulls and cows. A bull means the digit you guessed is present in the code, in the position you guessed; a cow means the number is present but not in the position you designated. By logical analysis of your bull/cow feedback, you can refine your answer until it's all bulls--the correct Ex-CLUE-sive Code!
