Our Vision

Our immediate goal is to build a new petting zoo/aviary on the existing property which will be approximately 62 feet long, 40 feet wide and 20 feet high. The interior will be as environmentally correct as possible. That is, with grass floors, tree perches, a walkway and "bath Pond" with a miniature waterfall.

Our long range goal is to have an elevated observatory boardwalk for viewing local wildlife. This boardwalk would extend from the aviary to the rear of the property, which extends almost 1,000 feet out to freshwater sedge.

Linda and I realize that most of the birds in our care are species with life spans that exceed our own and will probably outlive us. Our concern and desire is that all of our birds will continue to have a "home" after our passing. Therefore, we wish to will the Double L Bird Ranch and Petting Zoo to a College, Avian Society, Zoo or Individual that will continue this re-hab house for birds. In return for willing the business, building and property, we'd like to receive enough "up-front" funding to complete this vision (Estimated to be around $50,000).
