| Circa 1867. This is the
earliest known photograph of Carnforth Station. The
Ulverstone and Lancaster Railway had arrived, so the date is
post 1857, the Post Office on the platform, the Iron works
Chimney and the lack of buildings near to the bridge all suggest
that the date is pre 1870. |
