Sex Magick
Few discussions of occult interest receive such scandalous attention as does the topic of sex magick. This is undoubtedly due to our society's lack of both understanding and respect for sexuality, and the body as a whole; a society which seeks to regulate the use of our bodies and legislate sexual expression. By viewing sexuality as either sin or obsession, we shield our eyes and betray our fear to look into the depths of the transformative well of power that it holds for us. We fail to see that it too is sacred.
When we open ourselves to the erotic energy of the universe, we participate in it's cosmic dance and become living poetry. With every sway of our hips a world is born; with every long drawn breath, the death of a star. Creation and destruction spiral through us to infinity, building with a swelling desire, calling to us the Old Gods that they may celebrate through our embraces, and in this way we are truly priests of the old ways.
I define sex magick as the practice of channeling energy generated from sexual expression into a desired goal through the use of symbolism and focused intent. Often this entails the ritualization of sexual activity through the use of applied breathing techniques designed to relax the body and mind. This can be followed by the invocation of deities into the bodies of the participants or working area. Finally the erotic energy is directed into a desired result by means of visualization. This is usually but not always, at the point of climax.
As with any other ritual tool or magickal tool, sex magick must be used and performed with sincerity. This is a very powerful tool and should be taken seriously. This page reflects what I have learned from several sources, not from my own experience. I have no experience with this form of magick, but I have a sincere interest in it as I do with other forms of rituals, spells and magickal tools. This page is not meant to be a twisted, demented view of paganism. My views on sex are completely harmless and natural and this page is ONLY meant to be another write up of another tool. Again , I am not suggesting any twisted sexual undertones here. I am only presenting another form of ritual and magickal tool that should be used with all seriousness and with sincerity. Do not write to me about sex, that is not my intent and I do not want to give the wrong impression to anyone. If I receive emails suggesting this page is a joke then I will take it down because I am serious about my magick. If the concepts on this page offend anyone, then I am sorry and perhaps another page is more suitable.
Sex Magick is a powerful tool to get what you want ,
but it can also be misunderstood and misused because it may be seen as nothing more than porno when in fact it is a beautiful act two people can share together or it can be performed alone or even symbolically. Sex magick is performed not as a form of 'sleazy' sex , but as a tool to raise the energies of a person or two people to perform a ritual. Sex amongst pagans is believed to be a celebration of the bodies of both man and woman, god and goddess, natural and open, something beautiful. It can be performed to symbolize the god and goddess or to bring two people together. I must confess, I have not been blessed with a willing partner and therefore I can only relate what I have learned. I believe that sex magick can be an erotic form of sex and a powerful tool to get what you want and it is the least manipulative of spell craft since both partners are fully aware and synchronized to agree and know what is going on. And, I believe it can have a powerful hold on the two people involved. How many of you can perform while maintaining eye contact and focus throughout the act? It leaves one open and vulnerable and this is why it is the most difficult to maintain throughout the act.
Beltane is the most obvious sexual time of celebration, the traditional Maypole is itself an obvious phallic symbol. Sex is seen as a gift, a pleasure given to us from the god and goddess. To fully understand and appreciate sex magick one must shed all Christian fundamentalist principles that tend to leave one with repressive guilt and shame. Sex magick rituals are most suitable for the Beltane sabbot.
Aleistar Crowley suggests that when performing sex magick the woman must be submissive and the vessel for the man. I don`t know how you feel about this in this day and age, but this may work well for some spells. It may be useful for the woman to try to retain the energy for as long as possible before submitting. It may be useful for some rituals for the man to shape shift into an animal.

Again, it is up to the two people and what they have agreed upon and what the ritual is for.
Also, not everyone agrees as to whether to climax during the ritual or not. I tend to say yes, because it is a natural response. Also after building up all that energy, I think it stands to reason it must be released physically as well as symbolically as well,
There are three kinds of sex magick:
Monofocal - Focus is on one. This can be done through symbolism or self masturbation or assistance by another or even a group. This solitary method is good for divination purposes. You can alter your state of consciousness or work with a sigil in mind. If you are assisted by another for divination purposes this is called eroto-comatose lucidity (ECL).
Duofocal - Focus on two. This is performed with two partners. Love is important for this focus, but don`t get this confused with the romantic kind of love. As Alleister Crowley states, "love is the law, love under will" . The purpose of this is to unite two opposites, for example : the man and woman, magnetic and electric, yin and yang.

Polyfocul - Focus on many, a group with one, a leader to guide the energy to serve a purpose. This form of sex magick is not meant to be an orgy, but it is sex with multiple partners at one time for the purpose of raising energies and being guided by a leader. The guide`s purpose is to organize and direct the energies.
First set a goal.
What exactly do you want to achieve with your magick?
Your goal can be any material attainment, like a new job, prosperity in business affairs, a pleasant house, whatever.
Your goal can be the healing of yourself, another person, mother earth…
Your intent can be improvement of an existing relationship or attraction of a new one.
You may wish to (further) develop several qualities in yourself, or create an excellent artistic piece.
You may wish to embrace the inner lover, and establish a stronger connection with your higher self.
You may wish to charge an amulet, talisman, or magical tools, etc….
Deeply desired wishes create the strongest magick!
1) Both partners should begin by bathing - this will help calm and relax you. Take your time. The man is a god, the woman a goddess, so admire each other's physical forms and use the bathing ritual to empty your mind of worldy thoughts.
2) Eat appropriate food - nourishment is especially important if you are embarking on a long Tantric session and the act of sharing and feeding each other is representative of the bond between partners. Meat, fish and honey are all genital foods in Tantra tradition and the drinking of wine is highly recommended.
3) Create a beautiful atmosphere - candles or dim light, especially violet which is believed to stimulate female sex organs (red activates male sex organs) will help to prepare your sacred space. Use an oil burner or incense sticks to harmonise your space (Sandalwood, Patchouli and Ylang Ylang combined are fabulous).
4) Anoint each other's body with oil - again, take your time. Pure essential oils are best used (a few drops mixed with a carrier oil such as almond). For a highly-charged sexual feeling go for Sandalwood, or for a gentler effect try Geranium or Bermagot.
5) Be comfortable - you can be naked but if you start with some light-weight clothing (especially chiffon and silk coloured violet/pink for women, red for men) you can discard garments as you intensify the ritual. A white sheet laid out on which you massage each other is good, as are silk scarves and feathers used for gentle stroking and caressing.
Keep it slow, the aim is not to waste psychic energy through orgasm but to maintain high state of sexual bliss indefinitely. If you feel yourself engulfed in the mighty urge to orgasm, hold back. Stop until the desire passes if necessary.
The trick is to simultaneously control breathing, mental digressions and seminal ejaculation. This is supposed to allow the semen and ovarian secretions to be absorbed back into the body.
It may seem strange to fight the body's urge to release, but this has a lot of advantages. Apart from the most fantastic sex you've ever experienced, it's supposed to be the ideal way of achieving physical and spritual well-being and if religion's your addiction, you may find Tantra brings you closer to your god.
"It gives a whole body orgasm, a completely holistic experience. One of the reasons that people are drawn to Tantric sex is, I believe, because there's a very definite need to connect mind, body and spirit."
Stress - the biggest killer - is in part caused by the disconnection of the head and body and the subsequent tension this causes.
"Anything that's going to reconnect us to our bodies is going to allow us to get more physically fit. It's the tension between head and body that causes illness and problems in our life, including sexual problems."
Depending on how successful your Tantra attempts are, you could find yourself experiencing your cellular memory - clearing up the physical remnants of your past. Lawson claims:
"It allows you to let go of some of your sexual baggage and any negative associations you may have learnt from parents or society".
Meditative sex can help as part of a holistic approach to health, re-connecting your body to your mind and alleviating symptoms of stress. And, best of all, it makes for cosmic sex.
Clean the space where the ritual will take place. Decorate it with candles, incense, flowers, gemstones or anything else you find appropriate. If you use symbols or other pictures make sure you can see them during the ritual. If you wish to play music, don't forget to put it on the repeat-button. Close the door and lay the phone off the hook. Tantra is an ancient Hindu practice which mixes meditation and non-orgasmic sex to attain a state of perfect bliss. The skill is in developing ways of delaying orgasm and manipulating our ability to control the climax. In Tantra the body is the vessel of truth and according to prophet Ratnasara "He who realises the truth of the body can come to know the truth of the universe."
The ritual is based on activating the human energy centres, Chakras, which hold the potential to reach 'cosmic awareness'. The human body is thought to have 6 main Chakras (base of spine, near navel, near heart, near throat, between brows and most importantly genitals) each of which represents a gateway to higher energy. Tantric rituals emphasise the need to open up these energy points in order to harmonise the flow of energy throughout the body to help achieve an elevated state of sexual awareness. Practioners claim that Tantric sex can not only significantly improve your all-round physical health, but it can also help create a feeling of inner peace and harmony.
How To Experience Tantra
In principal, everyone is capable of having Tantric sex. In practice, (officianados insist) truly satisfying Tantra requires clear thinking, commitment and patience. A certain amount of re-thinking of existing sexual ideas is necessary. For a start, you'll need to dismiss the notion (if you have one) that the end goal of sex is to have a great orgasm (or three!). Orgasm is only one aspect of the sexual act and Tantra emphasises the art of making love and two energy fields cojoining to create ultra powerful sexual energy.
In keeping with the old adage 'good things come to those who wait', Tantra teaches patience and preparation are the keys to greater sexual enjoyment.
What to do before performing sex magick:
for one person
1. decide what your energy raised will be for. What spell to perform, what sigil you will concentrate on, what chant, etc.
2. bathe in salt water.
3. gather your appropriate color candles, herbs, incense, etc.
4. make sure you will not be disturbed
5. center yourself
6. cast your circle
for two people
1.find a loving space
2.cast a circle
3.ground, center
4 begin with anointing each other with appropriate oils
5.incense appropriate to the spell, candle colors, herbs, etc
6.eye contact is started and maintained
7. rhythmic breathing
8. rhythmic movement
There are several ways two people can raise energies together for spell work

 ADD SPICE TO YOUR RELATIONSHIP
Deep Love Spell
You will need:
7 pink candles
7 sheets of parchment
red pen
Fire of Love Oil:
3 drops of jasmine
2 drops of rose geranium
1 drop of orange
3 pinches of cayenne pepper
1 pinch black pepper
Attraction powder:
1 tspn dragon's blood powder
1 tspn allspice
1 tspn almond meal
On Friday night - the night of Venus, write a letter of passion in red pen on the parchment. (Write all the things you would like to do with your lover in a spicier relationship!)
Anoint the candle with some oil and light, standing it on the letter. Sprinkle powder around the base of the candle in a sunwise (anticlockwise) direction as you call your lover's name seven times and then blow 7 kisses to the candle and say:
"Mystic be the number seven
which summons passion, love and heaven
This letter of lust and love
I send to the ethers above
Bind to me spice and fun
So is my desire, so it be done."
Leave the candle burning throughout the night. In the morning fold the letter with the powder and stub of candle within and keep in a box.
Repeat each night with a new candle and letter and by the following Friday - woo hoo! watch out!

 Herbal Beauty Recipes
Goddess Milk and Honey Bath
1 Whole egg, 1/2 cup mineral oil, 2 Tsp.sliquid dish soap, 1/4 cup 100% Vodka, 2 Tbsp.s Honey, 1/2 cup milk, Fragrance oil.
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend for 30 seconds. Then place in a squeeze bottle and squeeze 2 tbsp.s into your bath.
Fields of Gold (Skin softening bath)
4 cups powdered milk
1 cup boiled water
1/2 cup dried chamomile or 5 chamomile tea bags
Steep chamomile in water for 20 minutes, strain liquid. Mix liquid with milk and add to bath water.
Tropical Dream bubble bath
3 drops rose fragrant or essential oil
2 drops jasmine fragrant or essential oil
1 oz. glycerin
1 oz. coconut oil
1 bar castille soap (grated)
1 qt. water
Mix all ingredients together. Store in a container. Pour in running water.
Avacado Face Mask
To 1/2 cup of grain alcohol or vodka and 1/2 cup witch hazel, add 2 Tbsp.s dried hibiscus flower, 2 Tbsp.s lavender, and 2 Tbsp.s dried lemon peel.
Allow to macerate for two days.
Then strain the liquid into a sterile jar and store it in the refrigerator.
Apply it with cotton balls after washing your face as a toner, or use it throughout the day for an aromatic skin freshener.
Firming Face Mask
Whisk together 1 Tbsp. honey, 1 egg white, 1 tsp. glycerin, and enough flour to form a paste( about 1/4 cup). Smooth over face and throat. Leave on ten minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
Facial Toner
In blender, puree 1 Tbsp. of honey with a peeled, cored apple. Smooth over face; leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
Moisture Mask
Mix 2 Tbsp.s honey with 2 Tsp.s milk. Smooth over face and throat. Leave on 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
Cucumber-Avacado
1/2 cup chopped cucumber, 1/2 cup chopped avacado, 1 egg white, 2 Tsp.s powdered milk
In a blender combine all of the ingredients until they form a paste like consistency. Apply 2 Tbsp.s to face and neck. Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and then cool water. Pat dry.
Lemon Egg-White Mask
Juice from half a lemon, strained, 1 egg white
Beat the egg white and lemon together for 3 minutes. Apply directly to face, avoiding your eyes. Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and apply a moisturizer.
Herbal Bath Soaps
Easy Fragranced Soap
1 Bar Ivory soap (grated), Dried orange peel, Fragrant rose petals, Other herbs or flowers, 10 Drops essential oil or fragrance.
Mix all ingredients in a micrwave proof bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds. Be careful when molding soap as it is very hot. Roll into round soap balls.
Honey Cleansing Scrub
Mix 1 Tbsp. of Honey with 2 Tbsp.s of finely ground almonds and 1/2 Tsp. lemon juice. Rub gently onto face. Rinse off with warm water.
Cinnamon Soap
Makes one - 14 oz. bar
Unscented glycerin soap
10 Drops cinnamon oil
1 drop Red food coloring (optional)
In a heavy saucepan, melt the glycerin soap over a low heat until liquidfied. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cinnamon oil and coloring until well mixed. Pour the soap into a mold and let it set for 3 hours or until hardened.
