Chief Instructor Ed Francis 4th Degree Black Belt Aikido 20 Years experience teaching in the U.S. and Japan.

We instruct our style of Aikido in a traditional manner and very close to O-Sensei's intended ideas. Aikido is meant to be a defensive martial art to allow you to defend yourself from real world street level attacks. At the same time not injure your attacker. This is not a " Low Impact " form of Aikido for those that do not understand what a true violent attack is and what happens during that attack. Our style of Aikido is a no non-sense art and you will train in a manor that will bring you to a high level self-confidence. This is all so you can go about your daily life with a reduced fear of attack. Dojin Aikikai Aikido classes are over seen by Chief Instructor Sensei Ed Francis. Sensei Francis has 20 years experience teaching Aikido. Four of those years were in Japan in his own Dojo and the last 14 years here in San Angelo making this the first school of Aikido in San Angelo. Sensei Francis is the only Black Belt in the area that has his level of experience and training. Sensei Francis also only teaches Aikido and does not teach other styles of martial arts. This will reduce the negative training influences that other martial arts have on your traditional Aikido training. Classes are also instructed by Sensei Francis's students who are also area Law Enforcement Officers and Texas Police Instructors that understand real world self-defense and can teach you what you need to know about Aikido and surviving a street level attack. We would like to invite anyone that is interested to come visit us and experience what Aikido is all about. You may also contact an instructor about trying Aikido for two weeks free.
If you have any questions about Aikido or want to know more about our programs contact any of the above instructors. CONTACT PHONE 915-651-1049 FAX 915-651-4176
