The Tenchi Muyo! Role Playing Game and Resource Book was the the fourth licensed anime RPG from Guardians of Order. Released in May 2000, the Tenchi RPG represented a major increase in the quality of Gaurdians of Order RPGs in so much as it was printed on higher quality, glossy paper and was full color. As always, extensive detail was paid to summarizing the source material for the book and an in depth look at the nature of the "Exotic Girlfriend" genre of anime was included so as to further help the reader understand the intracacies of the Tenchi story. It was based on the Tenchi Muyo! OAV released in America by Pioneer.

Combining a healthy does of mecha with a great focus on characterization, the book featured many previous rules and some new attributes and explanations of older rules, especially those governing space travel. Tenchi Muyo proved that the Big Eyes Small Mouth game is capable of dealing with not only mecha of the robotic and earth vehicle sort that Dominion Tank Police featured, but also with intergalactic starships and space battles.
