David Lang, (Peter Kowitz) a Sydney architect, is having a mid-life crises. He seperates from his wife and three children, and plunges into several affairs, including with a young Lydia (Joy Smithers) and an older Anthea (Linda Cropper). But his sexual paradise is threatened by his family, and memory flashes of disturbing incidents from the golden haze of his youth, which continually return to haunt him. He has a mental collapse.
