KSAT was created in Gilroy, California by Chuck Dawson, a TVRO dealer.   KSAT was a political action and information channel that technically informed and politically motivated the C-band dish owner.  Dawson later moved his TVRO radio station, KSAT, to his new home in Corrales, New Mexico.

Chuck Dawson's Corrales meeting, held in his home in Corrales, New Mexico. Dealers and TVRO political activists held meetings and established strategies.  Their goal was legtimiacy for the hobby and eventually growth to where big-dish TVRO became competitive with other TV delivery technologies.
