KSAT was created in Gilroy, California by Chuck Dawson, a TVRO dealer. KSAT was a political action and information channel that technically informed and politically motivated the C-band dish owner. Dawson later moved his TVRO radio station, KSAT, to his new home in Corrales, New Mexico. Chuck Dawson appears in Washington DC, 1986. A KSAT bumper sticker. Their goal was legtimiacy for the hobby and eventually growth to where big-dish TVRO became competitive with other TV delivery technologies.
