This drawing is based off my Women and
Folklore and Folklife teacher, Professor Brown. She was (and still is) a striking
lady of strong will and has a collection of stories and experiences form her travels that
reminded me very much of a long time ago when my grandmother used to tell me stories about
how certain plants recieved their names and why the blue jay cries "thief!"
To me, she always seemed to radiate a great deal of life energy as well as being a
master of the rarer magick of storytelling. |

Shiyana Nightwalker is a character
from an old story I wrote in 11th grade Creative Writing Class. In this story she
was a guardian of the land in which she was apart of, forever trying to save the natural
from the misunderstandings of the more common race of mankind. As a child she was raised
by a dragon family as one of their own; her amulet was given to her by her dragon mother
before she died protecting her "child" from the dragon hunters. |

A member of clan Cler'sic -- of a race
of wolfen shifter beings who watch over the younger races and guide them as they must.
This clan is predominately made of of healers and mystics. They specialize in mending the
broken, whether physical or mental. They also tend the sacred areas and pay respects
to the greater powers that have watched over the people since the beginning. |
|
A member of clan Shant. This clan is predominately consisted of physical defenders. They
enforce and protect the natural areas of their home with fang, claws, sword, or magick
(whatever works... is good...) They are the first in the line of battle and (often)
the last thing standing when all else is somewhere else. They specialize in breaking
things -- and a wise advisary learns quickly that fighting a Shant physically is not a
easy nor wise option. |

A member of clan Majere. These beings are the ones most grounded in that which is not
physical. They make sure the energy around the homeland is untampered with by
outside harmful hands, create enchanted talismans to protect their allies, ward the
sacred areas, gate their fellows to where they need to go (fast,) cloak the homeland from
the probings of outsiders, and generally are the masters of the metaphysical. |
