Left of the Middle

modern edgy pop sound, including the hit single "Torn"

Midnight Oil

A "best of" from this environmentally conscious, politically active and perhaps most-loved of Australian bands.

Hunters and Collectors

Collected Works
Some say the "Hunnas" are the heart of Australian Music, we say you need to check out this band (lead by Mark Seymour) for yourself!

Paul Kelly & The Messengers

Under the Sun

Paul Kelly has been called the unofficial poet lauriate of Australia. Check out his vivid working-class imagery.

and who can forget

Olivia Newton-John

Back to Basics: The Essential Collection '71-'92

Inxs

The Greatest Hits

The pop-band's end was premature due to the death of leader Michael Hutchence. Look back at his career from from the 80's super sucessful album, Kick through to the 90's.

AC/DC

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheep

I have to admit that this is not my very favorite music, but Tony likes it. Still, some like the title song make you smile in spite of yourself.

Soundtracks from downunder

If you can find it, the Soundtrack to the Australian film, Cosi, is one you should look into. In addition to Mozart it has some more traditional Antipodean hits, like Toni Collette singing "don't dream it's over" and "throw your arms around me."

Muriel's Wedding

well, it's not exactly Australian music....well, not at all. But the movie is very Australian and it had great music from Abba, the Carpenters, The Turtles, Blondie and more.

The same goes for The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Dessert

which contains hits from the Village People, Gloria Gayner, Abba and Peaches & Herb.
