Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins by Eric Kimmel, illustrated
by Trina Schart Hyman is a fun picture book for grades 1-3. This very funny
tale teaches that you should always cooperate with goblins!
Playing Sardines by Beverly Major and illustrated by Andrew

Movie and Video Reviews
The Borrowers - (this was the first of what we hope to
be many outside reviews) Natasha says that everybody should go see this
funny movie about a boy who wants to find out where stuff keeps disappearing
to and a "little" little girl who forgets to follow the little
people's #1 rule of borrowing - "not to be seen". Tom Arnold plays
the villain in this cute film. There are good special effects (a la Indian
in the Cupboard) and there's even a Hansen song at the end.
A Bug's Life -- Natasha really enjoyed this film (much more than
Antz). Her favorite character was Princess Dot because she is so cute,
teeny and funny. She also liked it that Dot was the only one who believed in
Flick from the beginning. Natasha didn't like Hopper (the scary bad guy) -- so we
guess that means he's a good villain! The tiny show at the beginning with the guy
playing chess with himself was really funny and the bloopers at the end of the
movie was the best part!
Natasha also heartily recommends Mulan and Dr.
Doolittle
