HOWDY!

Welcome to the House of Dave. This page is due for major renovation as soon as I borrow some code from a couple of people... :)

My name is Dave Rigsby, and I am a test engineer working for Dell Computer, although I still have a place in my heart for my old schools: Texas A&M University, where I received a master's degree in electrical engineering in December 1998, and Abilene Christian University, where I spent many a long evening at its Physics and Math departments until 1996.

This is Karin, my wife. Amazingly, she has put up with me for over three years now (including six months of marriage!). She was an elementary education major at ACU, and she also got a degree in December. Convenient, huh? Karin is good with kids, which, I suppose, allows her to tolerate me some of the time. :)

Karin is a wonderful woman. Her encouragement and support have helped me tremendously as I struggle through this long degree program. Most importantly, though, she is a woman who has her priorities straight and who puts God first in her life. I thank God for her every day.

Karin and I were married 20 March 1999 in Campbell, CA, after 17 long months of engagement. Waiting that long wasn't too fun, but it was worth it. :)

Well, I am working on this page rather slowly. Eventually, I will most definitely include sections about a few more things, such as Famous Quag Quotes! (Granted, I'll be moving the page somewhere else first...)

Now, you ask: what is a Famous Quag Quote? Well, a Famous Quag Quote is a quote from a member of my old social club at ACU. It becomes famous because it sounds rather strange out of context (or in context, if someone seriously misstates himself).

For example: "Halloween is October 31st this year, right?"
(Thanks to Matt Fortson for sticking his foot in his mouth)

Another example: "Nothing like a black feathered bustier, eh, Terry?"
Hmmm...I don't seem to remember who said that one...

Well, for the benefit of those who have waited a year and a half for me to come up with an FQQ page, here is another quote:

"Sanity is not very high on my list of priorities."
That quote comes from Terry H. Thomas, although it sounds a little bit like former ELEN 220 TA Tom Brayden...

Should you wish to know more, check out The new Phi Quag Mire homepage. (So far there is not much there yet...)

Send mail, clean jokes, disco music, and game shows to me by clicking here. (You may want to remove the last six letters of the address first...)
Especially the game shows. :)
