Optic Nerve



The optic nerve is the collection of neurons from the retina that send signals to the brain about the light absorbed. The optic nerve starts at the optic disc and travels toward the brain. Fibers from the nasal side of the optic disc will cross over to the opposite side of the brain at the optic chiasm.
