It's not rocket science, only a balance between greed and fear, but ultimate success goes to those who can afford to be patient.

March 25, 2000

2000RRSP Portfolio

The cumulative gains for the 2000 RRSP portfolio increased from 85% (March 18, 2000) to 90% (March 25, 2000) with no significant changes in individual securities.

2000 UST Portfolio

The portfolio yo- yooed back to 18% (Mar 25, 2000) from 14% (Mar 18, 2000) the previous week with no significant changes in individual securities.

June 1, 1999 portfolio

The June 1, 1999 portfolio continued its downward spiral from 240% (March 11, 2000) to 203% (March 18, 2000) to 161% (March 25, 2000). With the exception of contract drug manufacturer Patheon Inc, which fell by 1%, all the other stocks in this portfolio experienced double-digit price falls, with Ecompark leading the way. It is important to lock in gains by using the stop loss idea. A new incubator on the block is Nafta Trading Inc, which has Cameron Chell of ASP fame as the founder. This one is going to be big, if Mr Chell's past successes are to be taken into consideration.

As mentioned last week, the internet incubator space is increasingly getting crowded and it's only those companies with the right people on the Board of Directors who will succeed. Looking increasingly attractive in this space are Pinetree (PNP/CDNX), Equess Communications (EQS/CDNX) and Exclamation Inc (IX/CDNX)

Jan 99 portfolio

The accumulated gains of the January 1, 1999 portfolio rose from 288% (March 18, 2000) to 308% (March 25, 2000), with Certicom and Zix It Inc. accounting for most of the gains for the week.

Jan 98 portfolio

Cisco split its stock 2 for 1 and for the first time, overtook Microsoft as the most valuable company in the world with a market cap of $579.12B while Microcell closed the week at $578.21B.

With the exception of Dell Computers, which remained flat for the week, all the other stocks in this portfolio experienced double-digit price increases, with Cisco leading the way with 18%.

FLINT stocks

Wi-Lan and sister company Cel-Loc once again saved the day for the FLINT stocks by accounting for almost all the increase in the accumulated gains from 746% (Mar 18/2000) to 780% (Mar 25/2000).

Rocca Resources completed its change of name to Siegesoft International with a new ticker symbol SIS/Cdnx.

Stocks On Sale (SoS)

A new company was added this week - Deltathree (DDDC/Nasdaq). We believe that the 40% fall in price is temporary and will be restored in the short term.
