least expects it. When in Full Defense, the bushi may make an attack against his opponent at the regular
difficulty +5.
Rank 3: Defender of the Land - The bushi adds +10 to his TN to be hit while unarmed.
Rank 4: Survival of the Fittest - The Badger has learned that his survival is essential to his
continued service to his daimyo. The bushi may ignore all damage from a single source once per session.
In order to do this, the bushi must spend a Void point and make a Void roll against a TN of 25.
Rank 5: The Rabid Badger Attacks - The bushi has learned to make 2 attacks per round. The Badger
may also take 4 wounds in order to make an additional attack. This can only be done once per combat.

Ichiro Bushi SchoolBenefit: +1 Agility
Beginning Honor: 1, plus 5 boxes
Skills: Archery, Athletics, Battle, Defense, Hunting, Jiujutsu, Kenjutsu
Techniques
Rank 1: Way of the Badger - The badger is known for its ferocity and quickness. The bushi mimics
this. The bushi may roll an additional die to hit and to damage.
Rank 2: Badger's Burrow - Everyone knows that the worst place to fight a badger is in its own burrow.
If in Full Defense and attacked, the Badger bushi may strike back at TN +10.
Rank 3: Tooth and Claw - The bushi has now become ferocious enough to make 2 attacks per round.
Rank 4: Tenacious is the Badger - The bushi now learns to become as hardy as the badger. He may
subtract his Earth from any damage he takes.
Rank 5: Rabid Badger - The bushi is now taught to enter a frenzy-like state. At the beginning of a
round, the bushi may make a simple Fire roll, TN 20. If successful, the bushi may make a number of attacks
equal to his Fire for that round. These must be Full Attacks and the bushi is at +10 TN to be hit as his
enemy is in disarray because of the ferocious attacks.

Techniques
Rank 1: The Way of the Badger - The hallmark of the Badger is sheer, unbridled tenacity. Badgers
and bushi alike will fight an opponent many times their size without any hesitation. The bushi gains
an additional -0 wound rank and may spend an extra Void point on any Earth, Stamina, or Willpower roll.
Rank 2: Tooth and Claw - At this rank the bushi has learned the secret strikes of the Badger
School's jiujitsu. The bushi's jiujitsu attacks now cause 1k2 damage.
Rank 3: Startling Ferocity - A Badger's ferocity is startling, far out of proportion to its
size. The TN to strike the bushi while he is performing a Full Attack is equal to his Initiative roll
or 5, whichever is greater.
Rank 4: Wild Eyes - At this rank the Badger may make two attacks per round.
Rank 5: Indomitable - The Badger never yields and never breaks. The bushi no longer needs to
roll to succeed at Willpower rolls. He gains no Raises from using this effect. If he wishes to Raise,
he must actually roll for the result.
Outfit: Bushi - (all considered to be Average quality) Katana, Wakizashi, Travelling Pack, Kimono, any
2 weapons, 3 koku.
