Tombo Bushi School

Benefit: +1 Agility
Beginning Honor: 2, plus 5 boxes
Skills: Archery, Dance, Defense, Kenjutsu, Meditation, Theology, any one High Skill

Techniques

Rank 1: The Way of the Dragonfly - The bushi learns the two-sword technique of the Tombo School. When the bushi has a sword in each hand, he may make an attack at the end of a combat round with the weapon in his off hand (remember th -2 dice penalty). The bushi does not add his Strength for damage on either damage roll.

Rank 2: Flitting Wings - The flitting Dragonfly is difficult to see with the eye or strike with the blade. At this rank the bushi learns to dodge blows using this quickness. Add half (rounding down) of the bushi's initiative roll to his TN to be hit. This bonus may not exceed the bushi's School Rank multiplied by three.

Rank 3: Stand Between Heaven and Earth - The bushi may roll and keep an extra die while performing any action involving balance.

Rank 4: Seeing the Circle - The bushi learns the twirling blows of the Tombo School. If one of the bushi's attacks with a sword misses, he may immediately make a single second attempt (re-roll) at -1 die. Only one extra strike may be gained per round in this manner.

Rank 5: Cast Razor Spirals - When armed with two swords the bushi may make one attack using Agility + Dance on each opponent that attacks him that round (separate rolls). This replaces all other attacks that the bushi could perform that round (including those gained through the use of Seeing the Circle.

Tonbo Bushi School

Benefit: +1 Reflexes
Beginning Honor: 2.0
Skills: Archery, Defense, Kenjutsu, Iaijutsu, Sumai, any one High or Bugei Skill

Techniques

Rank 1: A Blur of Movement - The Dragonfly is traditionally very swift. This technique is a rapid feint used to open the opponent's defenses. The bushi may make a Kenjutsu + Reflexes roll vs the opponent's Awareness x 5. If successful, the opponent's TN is reduced to 5 for the remainder of the combat round.

Rank 2: The Hovering Dragonfly is Everywhere - The Dragonfly bushi has now attained the speed necessary to make two attacks per round. This Technique is taught when a bushi reaches 176 Insight.
