Techniques

Rank 1: The Way of the Wasp - In Rokugan, archery is more about instinct than aim. The archers of Clan Wasp have learned to trust their instincts to the point that they fire without thought. Wasp Bushi may add their Void to their rolls to hit and damage when using archery.

Rank 2: Firing Without Thought - Upon reaching this rank, the bushi has truely mastered the concept of being at one with the Void when firing. The bushi may spend up to his maximium Void points on any kyujutsu roll.

Rank 3: Strength of the Sting - The Wasp sensei teach their students how to maximize thier strength when firing a bow. Wasp bushi may keep an additional dice when rolling damage for arrows.

Rank 4: Striking the Eye of the Gnat - The accuracy of the Wasp bushi is legendary. At this rank he recieves a number of Free Raises (for accuracy only) in kyujutsu equal to his half of his Void (rounding up) to maximum of three.

Rank 5: The Twin Stings of the Wasp - So great is the skill of the Wasp kyujutsu master that he may prepare and fire two arrows with a single bow shot. Either both arrows are fired at the same target or at two targets that are very close together. If firing at a single target, the TN is at +10 with two separate damage rolls as normal. If firing at two targets, roll to hit and damage separately with the TN to hit at +15 for both shots.

Wasp Clan Shugenja School

The Wasp Clan does not currently maintain a school for shugenja. They send their most promising students to the Ryosei school of their allies, the Fox Clan.

Tetsuraba Bushi School

Benefit: +1 Reflexes
Beginning Honor: 2, plus 5 boxes
Skills: Battle, Defense, Hunting, Iaijutsu, Kenjutsu, Kyujutsu 2

Techniques

Rank 1: Way of the Wasp - The bushi learns how to harness his own Air energy. The bushi may add his Air to all hit and damage rolls. Also, because they train so extensively with the bow, a Wasp bushi may draw and ready a bow as a free action.

Rank 2: One Sting, Two Wounds - The bushi now learns to move so quickly that he may make two attacks in a single round.

Rank 3: The Wasp's Sting - The bushi learns the dreaded Wasp's Sting. When using a bow, for every two raises the bushi makes, he may keep an additional dice for damage.

Rank 4: Swift and Sure - By this time the bushi has become so precise that he no longer has to raise the TN for a called shot.

Rank 5: Stings of the Swarm - The bushi has, by this time, refined his bow string to an amazing degree. At the beginning of combat, the bushi may make a simple Air roll (TN 25). If successful, the bushi may make a number of attacks per round equal to his Air rank for the remainder of the combat.
