Fortune Hunter's pedigree has closed the gene pool to produce outstanding future sport horses! His lineage offers outstanding proof of performance through himself and his genetics! Here is just a "touch" of some of his outstanding World Class pedigree!

Sire's Side:

Fortune Hunter's Sire: "First Class", a beautiful deep red Chestnut 16.3 H, was imported from Germany in 1989. He scored a 118.93 points in his Stallion testing, which earned him Reserve Champion in 1985. First Class was "Selle Francais Horse of the Year" in 1991. He as constantly won in the dressage ring, winning some of the following: 1987 German Bundes Champion 4 year olds, 1990 AHSA Western region 1st Level Champion, 1990 California 1st Level Champion, 1990 California Dressage Futurity winner, 1994 Wood River Dressage Show 3rd level High Point, 1994 Utah Dressage Society 2nd level Reserve Champion, 1994 Utah Dressage Society 3rd level Champion, 1995 Utah Dressage Society 4th level Dressage Champion and now is competing at "Pre St. George Level". First Class is also known for his very sweet quiet temperament, in which he passes on to his foals.

Grand Sire: "Furioso II", liver Chestnut 16.2H hardly needs any introduction! Furioso I has influenced the modern breeding of Oldenburg sporting horses like no other stallion before or after him. More than 250 registered mares, about 100 State Premium Mares (6 Champion mares in Oldenburg), more that 50 approved stallions as well as progeny winnings of more that 2.6 million DM is an unique success of a sire. Furioso II is known in his native land as "Stempel Hengst", or stamped stallion, because each of his off spring is stamped with their father's ability and brilliance.

This is where the "Gene Pool has been closed! On both Fortune Hunters Sire's side is "Chinchilla" and on the Dam's side is "C' est la vie". These mares are full sisters out of the famous parents "Zeus" and "Cinderella".

GrandDam: "Chinchilla", was named the best 3 year old mare in the entire Oldenburg breeding area, winning the States Premium Mare Award in 1980. In 1983, she was the Champion of Germany in the National Championships in Verden, and in 1984, she was named Reserve Champion in the Aged Brood Mare class. In 1983, she won the "Produce of Dam Class at the OGL Show in Hanover Germany. In 1980, Chinchilla won the National German Championship in the Produce of Dam Class, winning out over 14 of Germany's best producing mares!

Great Grand Sire: "Furioso", is an incredible Thoroughbred stallion! Furioso, who is credited with helping the Oldenburg breed survive its transition from a private association to an internationally acclaimed breed. Furioso was one of the top jumper sires in France! Furioso Bloodlines include: Hurry on, the sire of Fair Play, who was the sire of Man O' War. To attest to Furioso success in the breeding barn, more that 10 offspring competed in the Tokyo Olympics. The Great names in Dressage have been Furioso descendants including Pomone B, World Champion, and Mexico-CSO winner who placed 4th at the Los Angeles Olympic Games.

Great Great Grand Sire: "Zeus", was picked as a stallion for Cinderella because he was a superior stallion!! Zeus, who has been leading the European charts in production of jumpers! Together, out of 8 foals, Zeus and Cinderella produced 5 State Premium Mares: Chinchilla, Cleopatra, Cabaret, C'est la Vie, Crystal and Chin-Chin. And two Approved Stallions: Zymbal I and Zymbal II. In 1979 as the first Zeus offspring were put under saddle, it became quite obvious that they could all jump! In 1981, as the first 5 year olds were shown in jumping, Zeus took over the lead in the "FN" Breeding Yearbook and has not been displaced since. Over 1.2 million DM winnings are listed under his name and his offspring continue to win! They include: PlayBack (R. Jenkins 1987 US Show Jumper with the highest winnings), Czar, Lonesome Dove and Midnight Madness. At the 1992 Oldenburg approval Zeus presented the Reserve and Second Reserve Champion of Young Stallions. In 1994, Zino was the top priced lot at the Vechte Foal Sales fetching 60,000.

Great Great Grand Dam: "Cinderella", is from many decades of systematic and well planned breeding. She is from the top brood mare families. Realizing that a foal inherits 50-70% from the Dam, the Germans have for many years concentrated on developing great mare lines. One of the most outstanding mare lines in Germany today is that of "Cinderella". A Chestnut mare imported from Holland to Germany in 1975. Cinderella's Dam was the Oldenburg mare, "Condria"! Condria foaled the outstanding stallion "Camillo". Condria's mother "Mondria" was a Star mare. On her sires side, Cinderella is a granddaughter of "Amor" sire of European Dressage Champion, "Ampere". Cinderella won the "State Premium Stuten" mare title: St. Pr. St. In front of her name. Also, four times she represented the Oldenburg Verband at the State DLG Shows. Cinderella was the leading German mare in 1983 and 1987. Her greatest success was in 1983 at the German Mare Show in Verden, Cinderella was Reserve Champion of 5 and 6 year old mares for all Germany! In all her shows, Cinderella was never less than Reserve Champion.

Dam's Side:

Fortune Hunter's Dam: "Cindi", is also a Beautiful bright red Chestnut 16.1 ½ H, was also imported to the United States from Germany, by Fiesta Performance Horses in 1992 after they saw her as a weanling winning the "Premium Award". Cindi was out of the best bred mares in Germany with exceptional movement! She won the Brood Mare Award in Region 5 in 1995, even after a serious injury. Cindi had a pretty traumatic life. On the plane The United States, she got deathly ill, during training 3 years later, she broke her back, and then finally was killed in a drive by shooting. Cindi was an incredible mare, with a very sweet personality, if given the chance she would have been a competitive dressage or jumping horse. She is greatly missed by all her knew her.

Grand Sire: "Andiamo", was well noted in his 100 Day Test for his jumping ability and ride ablity! He has won and placed in several high noted jumping competitions. In 1990, he was Reserve Champion of the Oldenburg Main Premium Stallion Show, due to his excellent first foal crop and his respectable performance in the 100 Day Test. Andiamo was the Champion of the Oldenburg Main Premium Stallion Show, this time with the high score of 9.2 points. Also, in 1992, he produced a high selling foal for the Vechta Auction, 28,000 DM. He is well noted for his lovely head, solid gaits and beautiful expression he gives each foal. Andiamo's qualities as a producer are of no surprise when his pedigree is brought into detail. His Dam, Furor, is the full sister to Furiozo Z who as a foal was sold through the Vechta Auction for 27,000 DM, and who became an outstanding show jumper and reputable stallion at the famous Zangersheide Stud Farm in Belgium. Andiamo's Grand Dam, Gonzaline, was sired by Gotthard who is in the pedigree of other great stallions like: Grudstein and Grannus. Andiamo may be one of the last approved, premium sons of the legendary Absatz!

Grand Dam: "C' est la vie", like her full sister "Chinchilla is a German State Premium Mare! The Zeus and Cinderella line is one of the favorite "couples" in Germany! Chinchilla and C' est La Vie and their full sister "Crystal" were named Nation German Champion Family, a great honor and apt recognition of a successful breeding program.

Great Grand Sire: "Absatz", the most influential sire in Hannovarian breeding since World War I. Absatz holds the unique record that 142 elite horses from the Verden sales over the years were sired by him!! Absatz sired many great dressage horses and show jumpers, such as the Champion Alwin Ass and his grandson Waltzerkonig. You will notice his name in many Hannovarian pedigrees.

Fortune Hunter has many more "Superstars" in his blood like: Gotthard, Furioso II (for a 3rd time - 4th generation back) Condria, Armand, Landmoor and Abglanz. He is a very well bred horse and it shows through his great looks and disposition. After researching the above information, I as well as many, can see the "Stamped Look". Fortune Hunter has that same "Winning" look of his ancestors! Fortune Hunter, will stamp his foals just as his sires "Stamped" him. He has his first two colts Fortunate Knight and a Thoroughbred X colt, on the ground this year (2000) and so far he has thrown himself and his fore fathers. Fortune Hunter was badly injured as an 18 mo. old. With careful therapy and handling Fortune Hunter still did well in the show ring for a couple years after that!! He re-injured himself in 1999 and has had a slow, but promising recovery. His show career has been minimal, but looking forward to doing light showing the following year if all continues to go well. But, be on the look out for his offspring that will be in the "In-Hand" classes this year.

Breed a Champion that has been made from a LONG list of

Champions!!

Breed to Fortune Hunter!!!!
