I'm LaffinBoy, the token Aussie in the room. You know, you will always meet one of us wherever you go in the world. You usually meet them in a bar or at a party, well that's me.

I am an electrician, specialising in Railroad Signalling installation and maintenance, and live in the North West of the State of New South Wales, about 6 hours drive from Sydney. That's me in the pic above at work in all the straps and stuff. It is actually a safety harness for climbing poles.

The other pic is of me at my graduation night. Last year I completed an Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering. 4 years of mixing study and full time employment was a hassle, but well worth the sacrifice.

Why Kahnnie's Room??? Well I surfed chat for a while getting disheartened with the idiots you meet online, then stumbled into this room about 2 years ago. I found somewhere to have a laugh, share a joke, a smile or a down moment with people who are honest, open and fun to be around.

I visited Europe last year, and met two of the inhabitants, Twinnie... Who is a kind and generous and a fantastic person with a great family, and the sweet and lovely Giobaby. I have also toured, the UK and Ireland in previous years as well as travelling extensively within Australia.

I am planning a trip this year to the US of A, (money allowing). Hopefully if I make it, I will meet some of the other members of the room, like Kahnnie and Steelmom.... I'll probably come back saying "Good Night Nurse" or OMG Guess What!!

Finally, thanks to Treasure, who put all this together for me, she has done a ripper job and is worth her weight in hugs. Anyway folks, if you have the time, drop by the room and say hello. I'll keep a beer on ice for you.
