Vester was well known for his talent in Auto Mechanics, a talent that if he'd been asked when he was a child what he'd like to do when he grew up it's likely wouldn't have been able to "I'd like to be a Master Mechanic" because to see automobiles was a rare thing and one Vester didn't see his first automobile till he was a young teen.

"This man had a brother in another little town close by and he wanted to visit him on a Sunday and I guess he wanted to kind of match make me and Ves and of course you know he wasn't good enough for me I wanted a high and mighty one and he was going to go visit his brother and he invited me to go so naturally as to stay there by myself I went and behold he invited Vester to go, I remember we were sitting in the back seat there, me on my side, him on his side and I was high and mighty then, but little did I know at that time, that was my husband. I was really blessed with a husband like that he was a gentle man all the way and made his way out of a big family poverty, all of us poor as snakes. At the end of the year we ran off and got married, we tried to keep it a secret. We came home to my sisters place, he had a job in Muskogee at the time we got married. I went home to Missouri that summer term (three months or so) we had enough money to get by on but I was anxious to get home to my husband.""

Alice was a Christian and lived her life for her Lord and the Church. She had a long affilliation with Mendocino Baptist Chur ch. She worked long hours helping to build the church, hammering nails right along with the strongest man. She started the Soup Kitchen "The Gleanings" and devoted many long hours to cooking ans administering to the needy.

Dick was a fun loving person that never grew up. He loved children a nd was known as Granpa Morgan by the youth in Mendocino Baptist Church. He de dicated many hours to youth projects, his favorite being Bowling. He and Alice were avid bowlers until his death.

Garland was killed in a hunting accident by shot gun. Garland was Vester's favorite brother.
