Xena: Warrior Princess
Xena:Warrior Princess is a show about a former female warlord called Xena, who has reformed from her murderous ways and is trying to overcome her dark past. She is accompanied by Gabrielle, a young woman from the town of Potedaia who wishes one day to become a traveling bard. Despite the fact that the show is campy, it is intensely dramatic and powerful at time. The show is a great blend of humor and drama, which make this show a cult hit and favorite among fans.

Xena: The Warrior Princess, The Destroyer of Nations. She has a long, dark, complicated, and mysterious past. Much of it is unknown... however this is little of what is known. She was a tomboy as a child and with the teachings of her younger brother, Lyceus, learned how to use a sword. Eventually her hometown of Amphipolis was attacked by the warlord, Cortese. Xena formed an army of her fellow villagers and repelled his attack, however her brother was killed in the battle. Afterwards she decided that Amphipolis should always be safe from invaders... So she used her newfound army to conquer neighboring towns and use those towns to create a buffer zone. Then she conquered more towns to make a buffer zone for the buffer zone and along the way she lost herself...
Along that time, she captured a young Roman nobleman named Julius Caesar. After his capture, she fell in love with him. He seduced her into thinking that together they will conquer the world. On her voyage to get the ransom for Caesar, she met a young Gaul slave girl, named M'Lila. M'Lila taught Xena her powerful Pressure Point techniques including, "The Neck Pinch." After she received ransom for Caesar, Caesar captured, tortured, shattered her legs and then crusified her. M'Lila saved Xena from the crusifiction and took her to the healer Nikko. Nikko managed to restore some use back into her legs, however she was permanently cripple only able to walk with the aid of a cane. Caesar heard of her escape and ordered her to be killed on sight. His guards eventually found her in Nikko's cabin. The guards killed M'Lila, as she tried to shield Xena from the guards, this drive Xena over the edge and into insanity.
She travelled eastward and met with a Russian nomad named Borias. They weren't really in love with one another, but were merely using each other to further thier own objectives. They were blackmailing the kingdom of Chin, even though Xena just wanted to invade and kill every living thing. After kidnapping one of the heirs of Chin, Xena was saved by a beautiful Oriental woman named Lao Ma, wife of Lao Tsu. Lao Ma tried to help Xena regain control of humanity... Lao Ma, using her nearly divine powers, fully healed Xena's legs... Xena however betrayed Lao Ma's plans for a peaceful future by killing one of the lords of Chin and nearly executing his son... After that little there is still many missing years. She may have returned to Greece and gained the title of Warrior Princess and Destroyer of Nations.
After those missing years, she met with Hercules, and after being forced to walk a gauntlet by her own soldiers, she turned against them and tried to kill then all and her traitorous 2nd-in-command Darphus. This sparked her quest into being a hero.

Gabrielle: The Bard of Potedaia, Amazon Princess, Amazon Queen. Gabrielle hails from the town of Potedaia. Her village was attacked by the warlord Draco who was searching to find himself some slave girls. Xena saved her town from Draco's army and from his enslavement. Gabrielle was enthralled by Xena's warrior abilities and wishes to run away from her town to join up with her. Gabrielle and Xena eventually do join together, against Xena's initial protests. Gabrielle's main skills involve her powers of persuasion and talking her way out of (or into) a situation. She eventually met up with the Amazons and tried to save the life the Amazon Princess, Teresis, by throwing herself on Teresis after an arrow had hit her and more were raining down. However Gabrielle failed to save her life, Teresis gave Gabrielle the Right of Caste as she died. The Right of Caste lets Gabrielle become an Amazon, and since Teresis was the Amazon Princess, it gives Gabrielle that same rank making her the second in line for the Amazon throne, after Queen Melosa. Under the Amazons, Gabrielle learned how to fight with a staff by the Amazon Ephiny. After the death of Queen Melosa, Gabrielle became the Amazon Queen, after taking the crown from the acting queen Velesca. Gabrielle's travels eventually lead to Britannia and meets the Cult of Dahak... More on this below.
Joxer: The bumbling would-be warrior. Joxer comes from a long-line of warriors. His father is a warlord, his brother Jett is an assassin for hire and little is known of his sister or other brother. Joxer is trying to live up to the reputation of his family but he fails. He has a good heart and is brave, but he doesn't know how to use a sword very well, and constantly ends up bumbling, falling, stumbling, or otherwise messing up. Joxer has a crush on Gabrielle, but he is too afraid to tell her.

Callisto:Warrior Queen, Psycho Barbie. Callisto is a psychotic woman out to get revenge on Xena, since Xena's army torched her home-town of Cirrah. In the blaze that followed, her mother and sister were both killed as she watched. After this event, she has tried to hone her skills to be equal to that of Xena and succeeds. She is Xena's equal in battle in every way. However her plan isn't to kill Xena, not at first. Her plan is far more complex. She wants Xena to suffer as much as she has. She always launches a physical and a psychological attack on Xena. Always trying to use Xena's own guilt and past against her.
Callisto does an excellent job at torturing both Xena and Gabrielle. Callisto was killed shorter after she murdered Gabrielle's husband,Perdicas, but Hera revived her to kill Hercules, Callisto then then poisons Hercules's family and forces him to help her gain the Golden Apple of Immortality. Callisto eventually gets the apples and gains eternal life. Hercules then sealed her inside the Temple of the Golden Apples. Xena freed Callisto gain her aid against Velesca, the insane Amazon-turned-goddess. Callisto was gained godhood during that battle by eating Ambrosia. Xena trapped both Velasca and Callisto in a lava pit.
Hope eventually freed Callisto and in a well-orchestrated plot to murder Xena's 14 yr. old son, Solon. Callisto realized her dream of revenge but contrary to what she believed her pain did not leave her. Xena eventually trapped Callisto in a massive cave-in. Hope once more freed Callisto to get the Hind's Blood pendant from the Sovereign and to travel back in to kill Alcemede, Hercules's mother. Callisto also created the Hind's Blood Dagger using the Golden Hind's Blood in the pendant. Callisto was also the first person to ever kill a god, using the dagger she killed Ares's nephew and second in command, Stryfe. Hercules eventually trapped Callisto in limbo that held the Sovereign.
After months of struggling Callisto return back to Earth and joined up with Hope, only if Hope promised to her. In the great final battle against Hope, Xena killed Callisto with the Hind's Blood Dagger.
Ephiny, Amazon Warrior. Ephiny is an amazon, who at first has a strong dislike for Gabrielle and the fact that Gabrielle was the Amazon Princess. Ephiny taught Gabrielle how to use a staff. Ephiny married the centaur, Phanteas, and has his child, however he was killed when Ephiny and him where caught in a civil war. Ephiny and Gabrielle's friendship grew from Gabrielle's near-death (in IS THERE A DOCTOR...). Ephiny is also the second-in-command of the Amazon Nation. After the death of Queen Melosa, Gabrielle appointed Ephiny acting Queen of the Amazons until her eventual return. Gabrielle and Ephiny are now the greatest of friends despite their rocky start.
Hope: Goddess of Dahak. Gabrielle eventually travelled to Britannia, since Xena heard that Caesar was there. Gabrielle met a follower of the "One-God." He tricked Gabrille into her first kill. This allowed the Dark Demon God, Dahak, to gain a "Foothold" into our world. He can't physically appear here, he can only take the form of a pillar of fire with limited powers. After her first kill a pillar of fire appeared and engulfed Gabrielle. Dahak violated (I will not say rape, what happened was NOT rape) Gabrielle.
Gabrielle eventually had a daughter who she named Hope after a 3 day pregnancy. Shortly after Hope's birth, a group of Banshee's wanted to save Gabrielle and the child.. After Hope's birth, a knight was killed and all evidence (or lack thereof) pointed to the baby Hope. Gabrielle refused to let Xena kill Hope, Gabrielle enlisted the aid of the Banshees to slow Xena down. Gabrielle escaped and put Hope in a basket and sent her down a river. Hope returned several weeks later.
On her return she was at the age of 10 with some great powers at her command. She used her powers to free Callisto from the lava pit and to kill the centaur Kaliepus and Xena's son Solon. After Gabrielle learned that Hope killed Solon, she murdered her own daughter by poisoning her and her body was burned at a funeral pyre.
Hope's ashes reformed into a scarred and charred version of herself. Hope freed Callisto and promised her the ability to free herself from her past, by traveling to Cirrah and saving her family. Hope demanded however that Callisto travel back in time to kill Alcemede, Hercules's mother. Hope escaped after sending Callisto back in time. Hope however needed a newer and stronger body.
She turned herself into a cocoon and was ready to emerge more powerful than ever. a cult formed and began to worship her and Dahak. Hope was reborn, taking the form of her mother. Hope body was able to use all her powers. In the final battle against Xena, Ares fixed it so that if Xena kills Hope, Xena herself will be killed. As Xena approached Hope to finish her, Gabrielle stopped Xena and threw herself and Hope into a lava pit, killing both Hope and herself.
Ares: God of War. Ares is a powerful god, that is in love with Xena. He is trying to get to become a warlord once more. He and Xena show a powerful sexual tension between each other. They are constantly trying out-do each other. Ares is one of the very few people who is Xena's equal in combat. He has tried framing her for a crime she didnt commit, he has masqueraded as her missing father, and had her driven to insanity by the Furies. There is some thought that Ares may in fact be Xena's father, making Xena a demi-god, this idea was thought up by Xena when she was driven to insanity by the Furies. Ares also joined up with Hope, to try to bring Dahak into the world. Ares was offered the chance of being the sire of a new race of half gods, quarter-demon, and quarter-human beings called, "The Destroyers." The last time Ares was seen, was fleeing after Hope and Callisto death in battle.
Solon: Xena's Son. Xena and Borias had a son. Borias was was killed by one of Xena's soldiers, Dagnine. Xena handed her son to Kaliepus, the centaur leader of a town she was trying to invade. The deal was that the centaur leader will take care of her son and she promises to withdraw her army. Xena didn't want to take Solon with her, for fear that her enemies would use him to get to her, or that he would take a sword and become a warlord. Solon holds his father Borias in great reverance since he betrayed Xena and tried to save the centaur town from her army. Solon didn't know that Xena was his mother, and believed that she killed Borias. After learning that Dagnine was the real killer, he asked for Xena's forgiveness. The next time Xena went to visit Solon, he was killed by Hope and Callisto. He also created Illusia, the land where Xena and Gabrielle will reconcile their hatred for each other, after Solon's death.
