OZZY OSBOURNE

I'm not going to say much about Ozzy other than that I've seen him six times in concert and I think that he's one of the best metal artists that ever lived. He layed the cornerstones of heavy metal music, along with Black Sabbath, in the early '70s. The band was a pioneer to all metal music and changed the music scene forever. How many metal artists have survived in the music world for this long? Not many. Ozzy still produces some of the best modern heavy metal and has not ever faded away from the music scene like some other bands that disappeared when alternative music took the limelight. A few other bands have managed to stay afloat. AC/DC has always produced good music during these depressive years of alternative. Other bands such as Metallica, Megadeth, Ronnie James Dio, Black Sabbath and Van Halen have not left the music scene either. I don't classify Van Halen as metal music most of the time but merely pointed out that they haven't disappeared either. Anyone out there going to Ozfest this year? I'm hoping to make the Raliegh, North Carolina show. With the line up this year, it should be a blowout! Megadeth, Tool, Type O Negative. Sounds like a show to me!
