WOODSTOCK	Woodstock is Snoopy's best friend. He is a yellow bird that lives in a dead tree near Snoopy's dog house. He isn't a certain type of bird, that I know of. Woodstock often takes baths in the birdbath nearby. But once while he was happily swimming around, there was a "storm" in the birdbath and Woodstock nearly drowned. I believe it was Snoopy that came to his aid. When Woodstock leaves his birdhouse, he often uses the invisible elevator. He was stand still in midair, push a button, step in, float down to the ground, and step out. Elevator sounds can be heard throughout this process.Woodstock's noises are always in exclamation points when they're in speech bubbles. Woodstock and his bird friends Harriet, Bill, Conrad, Roy, Fred and Raymond are members of the Beagle scouts, whom Snoopy is the leader of. They are like any other scout troop, and go places like camping. One picture I came across showed all of the scouts sleeping on top of their tents, like Snoopy does on his doghouse!
CHARLIE BROWN	Charlie Brown is Snoopy’s owner. He is almost always wearing a yellow shirt with a black squiggle on it and he is the neighborhood baseball team’s manager. His most famous saying is "good grief", but he also says "Arrrrgghh!" a lot. Dead (or almost) Christmas trees have sometimes been called "Charlie Brown Trees" because he brought back a dead tree on Christmas Eve. Charlie Brown often wonders why he can’t have a normal dog, but he loves Snoopy dearly and was heartbroken when Snoopy left to see Lila again. He is in love with a little haired girl named Heather, and was so nervous while delivering a letter to her, he got stuck in their mail slot. But he overcame his fear of her and made a lovely escort of himself when she was homecoming queen. Unfortunately, all he has is Linus's word on that because couldn't remember any of it! Linus Van Pelt is Charlie Brown’s best friend. He is a bit of a scaredy cat, and is always seen carrying around his blue security blanket. But Sally loves him anyway, and proceeds to call him her "Sweet Baboo". He is Lucy’s younger brother. On Halloween he and Sally sat in the pumpkin patch waiting for the "Great Pumpkin" to appear. When digging for truffles with Snoopy, he met a girl named Truffles and fell instantly in love. However, Snoopy did too and went back to see her and wouldn't tell Linus the way. Linus also gave the famous speech when Charlie Brown brought back the little ugly tree at Christmas. He explained that Christmas was not about trees or presents or nothing material like that, and that it was truly about the birth of Jesus.
PEPPERMINT PATTY	Peppermint Patty is another kid in the neighborhood. She is always wearing green sandals, and she isn’t very bright. When she was in France, she thought they were going to have French toast, French bread, and even French fries for breakfast. She has called Snoopy a "cool kid", and sometimes I wonder if she knows that he’s a dog. Another thing about Peppermint Patty is that she always calls Charlie Brown "Chuck". She has a baseball team that always plays against Charlie Brown and always beats them. Marcie is Peppermint Patty’s brainy best friend. You hardly ever see one without the other, which surprises me because of how different they are. Marcie is very knowledgeable and seems to have an answer for any question, unlike Peppermint Patty. She even speaks French! There are a few strange things about her, however. One is that she always calls Peppermint Patty "sir", even though she constantly tells her not to, and the other is that she wears glasses that you can’t see her eyes through. I could never figure that out!
	Schroeder is a funny kid that’s never seen without his miniature piano. He likes to play pieces by Beethoven, his hero, and was extremely insulted when Lucy asked him to play "Jingle Bells". Schroeder is not much of a socialite, mainly because he’s constantly playing that piano of his. He also hates Lucy, despite her feelings for him. When she breaks his piano, he just takes another one out of a closet! He also is the catcher on Charlie Brown's Baseball team. Pigpen is a kid that always has a cloud of dust circling him. (Thus the name Pigpen.) He is ussed in brown and I’m not sure if it’s just because of all the dust. Pigpen is kind of a lonely person, and I think many people avoid him because of his dirty pearance. In the Christmas pageant he was a shepherd. His wife was Frieda, and she was scared that all the dust would ruin her naturally curly hair!
	Franklin is the first African-American character that appeared in the Peanuts cartoon. He first met Charlie Brown on a beach when he rescued his ball from the ocean for him. He also is the center fielder on Peppermint Patty's baseball team. He also sits behind her in school.Unfortunately I do not have a picture of Rerun, but I do know that he's Lucy and Linus's baby brother, who usually wears overalls. He is finding out that the world is a tough place. He spends most of his time on the back of his mother's bicycle, fearing for his life because she is not the best cyclist in the world. Rerun wants a dog very much, and he always asks Snoopy to be his dog, sort of like to borrow him! But Snoopy refuses until he gets cookies for his payment. Rerun is also a paperboy (or at least he wants to become one!).
