Beyond the specs:

BMW is world renown for their sedans which handle like sports cars, although only the 5 series is the sports sedan in the BMW lineup, all of them have great handling and good acceleration. The 5 series of course has the best acceleration of the BMW sedans, its already excessively fast 0-60 time of 5.6 seconds however was not enough for BMW. BMW just had to get their M (M for Motorsport) division to make the awesome M5, which just may be the worlds fastest sports sedan (it can actually accelerate faster than the 0-60 time shown above). This car uses the most powerful engine in any current sports sedan (Bentleys are not sports sedans), the 5 liter, high revving, 400 hp wonder built by BMW's M division. Its wonderful free revving engine will let you dominate the autobahn and enjoy the normal level of luxury found in BMW's today. Unlike its competitors, it does not sacrifice ride comfort to give you the best handling you can find in a BMW sedan. Best of all unlike its competitors this BMW comes with a six-speed manual transmission, and of course, any like all sports sedans in this price range it has traction control. It also comes with DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) to keep the car from oversteering or understeering on slippery high-speed turns. Still, for this sedan sports car performance you will have to pay a bit more than its competitors price, also the clutch is a little firm side and when the car skids it completely breaks away. However, if you have the money and want a BMW quality sports sedan that can outrun a Chevy Camaro SS and still have room for five then you and the M5 are a perfect match.
