Punkinz

This page is dedicated the Punkin, a new breed in the making. See the breeding program page for the details of how to send in your petz. Please note, I am trying to meet the requirements of the BMG. The requirements may change a little, these are just preliminary. Here's a picture of Jack, the original and perfect Punkin.

Jack

Your cat doesn't have to meet all requirements perfectly to be considered. This is what I especially need for my program:

MALES

Any that look exactly like Jack
One chinchilla persian (maybe)
Shorthairs with gold eyes and orange coats (maybe)

FEMALES

Any that look exactly like Jack
Shorthairs with gold eyes and orange coats (maybe)

Confirmations

Coat Specifications: Punkins have a brilliant orange coat with red/auburn highlights. It is long, and has the texture of the Chinchilla Persian (not quite smooth.).The amount of fluff depends on weight. The fur on the tail is short. Catz that meet this description earn a 3. Because the coat is so important, any variation of this earns a 0.

Eyes: Eyes must be gold, like purebred tabbies. This is a 3, anything else earns a 0.

Paw Pad/Eyelid/Inner Ear/Whisker Pad Color: The paw padz should be the same color tan as that of the tabby. Eyelids are a golden brown, like a tabby and inner ears are the same color. Whisker pads are the same color as the rest of the coat. All this earns a 3. At this point, no other variations earn anything but 0.

Height: This hasn't been completely established, but catz should be around 2.5 - 3.5 points. Jack is about 3.3 points.

Ear Type: Tabby ears earn a 3. Anything else earns 0.

Muzzel Type: Tabby muzzle, with relatively small whisker pads, earns 3. Large whisker padz earn a 2. Anything else earns 0.

Body Type: Hard to judge under all that fur! Actually, I think it is a long-haired tabby type. In show poses there should be space between the front and back legs, vs. the chinchilla which has no space. Long - haired tabby earns 3, chinchilla earns1.

Leg Type: Fluffy tabby legs, with large haunches. No calf and little forearm should be visible, and the feet should be fairly small. This is 3.

Disqualifications: Coat color isn't orange (that's the point of the breed) and not purebred (see below.)

Purebred: For a catz to be a purebred, they must have Jack in their background.
