"I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels." Revelation 3:5b
I assume that if you read this far you accepted God's gift of salvation and became a Born Again Christian. Congratulations, and welcome to the family! The moment you prayed those words from your heart, God wrote your name in the book of life, and sealed it there forever. Your name can never be removed from the book, and your salvation can never, ever be lost.
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." Colossians 3:12-14
Now your new life begins, and I hope that some of the information I presented here will be helpful to you in starting this new life, but it is only the start. You should now begin to grow in Christ, and some important steps that you must also take are:
Read the Bible to learn more about God and His principles for living.
Attend a Bible-believing church where you can grow spiritually and worship God.
Turn from what the Bible calls sin, and resist temptations.
Pray to God often to share your joys and problems and to confess your sins.
Tell others about your Savior.
"I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink." 2nd John 1:12
My e-mail address is below and I would like to hear from you. Let me know what led you to seek the Lord, and what it means to you to be a Christian now. If you have any questions I'll do my best to find an answer for you, and if you have any comments about my web site I'll address those as well. I wish you much happiness in your walk with Christ, and look forward to meeting you someday in heaven.
"Again Jesus said, 'Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.'" John 20:21
My prayer for you is that you will continue to grow in the vine, and prosper to bear much fruit. I pray that you will never stray from the path of righteousness; but if you do, realize that God is with you when you stumble, and even when you fall. Never fail to turn to Him, and remember, He promised to never leave you or forsake you. The Bible says, "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." Today His patience was not in vein, and because of His grace, one more soul will not perish but will live eternally with Him. May God bless you, and His peace is with you always...
"Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:9
