Key(s) Description (these work in many, but not all, programs)
<ALT>ENTERIn DOS programs, this switches between a window and full-screen. In Explorer, this lets you view the file's properties.
<ALT>TABSwitch among running programs.
dragMove the highlighted text/file (drag = hold down the left mouse-button while moving the cursor).
<CTRL>dragCopy the highlighted text/file.
<CTRL>ESCBrings up Start menu.
<CTRL>ASelect all.
<CTRL>ZUndo last operation
<CTRL>XSame as Edit/Cut.
<CTRL>CSame as Edit/Copy.
<CTRL>VSame as Edit/Paste.
triple-clickTo Rename in Explorer, click once to highlight the file/folder, wait a second then click again to rename the file/folder, wait a second then click again to insert the cursor between two letters of the file/folder before editing the name.
<shift-click>When rebooting Win95 (which is required all too often), you can choose "Start/ShutDown/Reboot" then shift-click "OK" and Windows will perform a warm-boot, which is quicker than a cold boot.
F10Brings up the menu.
