What song is Bender humming right before he asks what happens if they've got to "take a piss"?
I've heard differing opinions, but the consensus seems to be that it's "Sunshine of Your Love" by Cream. Just for the record, the guitar part in "Sunshine of Your Love" closely resembles "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton, so some people do think it's "Cocaine." For what it's worth, I have to agree with those who think it's "Sunshine of Your Love."
I've been informed by a visitor to this site that if you watch the DVD with the subtitles on, the caption says "Humming introduction to 'Sunshine of Your Love'". So now we have a definite answer. Thanks!

What did Allison put on her sandwich?
From what I can tell, she took the meat off her sandwich, sprinkled the bread heavily with Cap'n Crunch cereal, then poured the contents of a few Pixie Stix on top of that. Bon Appetit!

Why did he call it "The Breakfast Club"? What is the meaning behind the title?
I FINALLY found the answer to this question at The John Hughes Files:
Hughes wrote the script in two days: July 4th and 5th of 1982. He got the title from Bobby Richter (the son of a friend); Hughes asked him what detention was called at his school in Winnetka, IL -- "The Breakfast Club," referring to Saturday morning.

Where was "The Breakfast Club" filmed at?
The Internet Movie Database lists three locations for this film: Des Plaines, Illinois; Northbrook, Illinois; and Glenbrook North High School, located in Northbrook, Illinois.

What did each of the students do to get Saturday detention?
Claire (Molly Ringwald) has been given detention for skipping school to go shopping. This is revealed only at the very beginning of the movie, in a conversation with her father as he is dropping her off at the school.
Andrew (Emilio Estevez) has been given detention for taping Larry Lester's buns together after gym class.
Brian (Anthony Michael Hall) has been given detention because after failing to make his lamp for shop class work, a gun was found in his locker. Much to the amusement of the others, it turned out to be a flare gun.
Bender (Judd Nelson) has been given detention because he set off a fire alarm.
Allison (Ally Sheedy) didn't do anything to get detention. As she says, "I didn't have anything better to do."

What IS the punchline to the joke?
It was recently revealed in Premiere Magazine that there was no punchline. According to Judd Nelson, "I made the joke up. My line when I fall into the room is, 'I forgot my pencil,' so we were trying to work backward from that, but what joke would have that punchline?"
