Dear Friends and Concerned Parties,

As many of you are aware,  this last year has been extremely trying for me physically.   In July of last year I was diagnosed with lung cancer.   Subsequently I have undergone hospitalizations,  radiation treatments,  and chemotherapy.    At present all tests appear positive,  though the final outcome will not be known for atleast 5 years.    If you are a betting man,  the odds are against me,  though I am standing in faith that God's will will be done in this situation.

Any of you who has been through a battle with Cancer knows that is is a time for introspection,  and an opportunity to re-evaluate one's priorities.    I have been doing much soul searching and have made some decisions about my life and the course that it will take in the future.   These are not decisions that I have made lightly as I know the countless lives that will be impacted.

I have given 5 years of my life to adoption search and reunion,  often times forcing my family to take the back seat as I put in a minimum of 4-8 hours daily on the registry and web site.   It is now time for me to put family first.   In light of this I am taking this opportunity to let you all know that I will be closing the Torn Asunder Registry (effective as of today).   I will leave the site up because I believe that it contains valuable information for those in search,  and there are posts on the registry that are still current and may help someone to reunite.   At least for now I will not be adding any new posts or updating the registry.   Should that change in the future I will notify everyone via the site and the registry.

I am thankful for the many friends I have made in the adoption world, and I wish all of you the best in your journey.

Rosey
