The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Veterans and Services Association (ATSIVSA) held its inaugral meeting and conference on the October Long weekend in Canberra.  I was priviledged to have been invited and participate in the conference, which with the hard work and determination of Mr Vic Sharman and Mrs Glenda Humes went ahead with tremendous success.

We had many veterans and next of kin of many ex-servicemen attend the conference.  They came from all parts of Australia, from the Torres Strait, Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland, N.S.W, A.C.T, right down to Tasmania.

I will consult with members of the committee to see if I may post further details, images and other information on  the association in the near future.
